RawrSpoonshadeRawrSpoonshadeAnyone from San Antonio or Austin driving up to Dallas on Friday somewhat early? I'm in need of a ride and if you don't mind me vlogging the whole trip up than that would be great! :)I'm four hours away from San Antonio, but I'll probably go somewhat early. I have to pass through both San Antonio and Austin to get to Dallas anyway.

How early is early?

Well last time I got in Friday really late, around 11pm. This time I'd like to be one of the first few there in order to shoot some footage as soon as a majority of people are arriving at the LAN, have to get those interviews fresh with the AG boys... looking at you indust. My other option is just to take the megabus or superbus whatever it is called from San Antonio up to Dallas which I dont even mind doing but I was just looking to see who all would be going to the LAN from the San Antonio or Austin area. (And someone who doesnt mind being interviewed on the way to the LAN as well).

Since it's an 8 hour drive, I'd probably leave around 10 AM, get to San Antonio at 1-2 PM, and get to Dallas 6-7 PM. Dunno how that'd work for you

That should work. Just don't kill me and wear my skin to the LAN and we should be golden. Add me on steam and ill chat with you tomorrow about the details.

#77 Shade VLOG's ESEA S14 and i49 LAN's! in TF2 General Discussion

Any recommendations for a camera I should get? I'm looking around for a decent one. I really am lost on this though. Will a point and click camera such as... http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-A1400-Stabilized-Wide-Angle/dp/B00AWYMXZY be more than enough better than my iPhone's quality? How does audio on these type of cameras come out on the video? I may just try and throw in a camcorder instead and get some really high quality stuff. Any suggestions on this front would be greatly appreciated.

dan_cThe amount of personality you brought to all the interviews is what really made it for me. You made them all seem really funny and I think you should keep doing that rather than making it at all "formal". I'm not even sure that was what you had in mind but I wanted to get my 2 cents out there.

No no, I don't plan on really making any type of formal, proper, style interview. I may do one just to see what kind of results it yields but that would only be for the i49 LAN. But I plan on shooting the same type of footage I've always shot.

I'll do my best to get players hand movements and screen while not being exceedingly intrusive. I don't want to be ridiculously noticeable when filming someone while they play.

And look like I'll be doing interviews with everyone on AG lol.

One last comment @Johnnes, last time I went into the bathroom after cyzer had taken a bath at the hotel the entire tub was filled with chocolate milk, take that as you will.

#1 Shade VLOG's ESEA S14 and i49 LAN's! in TF2 General Discussion

EDIT 2:
i49 is days away. I leave for England in a few hours. Expect some videos with shrugger and cyzer soon since those are the two I'm meeting up with in Newark. After that... who knows O.O See everyone soon! :D

EDIT:
ESEA S14 LAN VIDEOS ARE CURRENTLY BEING UPLOADED AND RECORDED AS MUCH AS I CAN... CHECK OUT

www.youtube.com/shadetf2 for updates

Big wall of text incoming, first portion regarding ESEA S14 LAN and the second portion regarding the i49 LAN...

Well it's that time again folks... time for another LAN and another set of LAN videos. Unfortunately my biggest entertainment factor Mister YzFlipty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjSlapPRn-w will not be attending these LAN's.

But I am here again pleading with you guys to know... What should I film this time?

http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/7311-shade-vlogs-at-esea-lan

Using this thread as a reference here are some thing's I've gathered.

1. AG interviews. Anyone in particular? Full team interview?

2. b4nny interview. When you see the newest interview with b4nny, minds will be blown.

3. Somehow make Dave__AC show up and re-enact this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHGpULL079c

4. Player spotlights

5. Team setups. Perhaps more in depth views on each players set up?

What else for the ESEA LAN?

--------------------------------------------------

Now, the main event... i49

I want to shoot a TON of footage for this event. Some ideas I have for this one are the following...

1. Team interviews with Epsilon, broder, iM, and my team, HRG.

2. Player interviews of the top and most entertaining players...(ex, kaidus, Mike, Mirelin, yuki, etc)

3. LAN venue tours. Corner to corner I will try to display what we are seeing at this event.

What else? Shoot ideas out here. I need ideas on what everyone is curious about in terms of this LAN. What do you want to see? Who do you want to hear? Who do you want creepy videos of me breathing down their back of while they play???

I'm going to link the playlist from i46 so that people can take a look and see if I covered enough that time.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL69AE34524C35CE82

I'll do my best to have the camera constantly rolling while I'm at the LAN.

Here is the channel to take a look at the videos from past ESEA LANs as well...

Thanks!

#1 HRG LAN Fundraiser in TF2 General Discussion

Hello community,

We are well aware the community has a limited supply of generosity, so I'm going to keep this simple and honest. The total cost of our flights to ESEA Lan will be $2450. Our sponsor, HRG, has given us $200 to start off, with an additional $500 pledged but not guaranteed. With this in mind, we have used up the fourth place prize money to take the cost from $2450 to $950.

What we need to help cover the costs of the rest of the flights + hotel + shuttle transportation to/from the hotel: $500

We do not want to take advantage of the community considering other teams are able to make it to the lan without community support, so here's what we promise in return for helping us get to lan.

Donate $10 or more:
+ Receive a 1 month ESEA Premium Code (first 10 people that are interested)
+ Recieve 1 on 1 mentoring from any HRG player
+ Weapon signing from any HRG player
Donate $20 or more:
+ All of the perks of donating $10
+ Receive an HRG POV Demo Pack immediately after i49, containing every player's pov demos from ESEA S14 Lan and the i49 event
Donate any amount:
+ Entered into raffle for signed HRG mousepad (including all players)
+ Priority for roundtable/AMA stream, we will give your questions/topics priority
+ Entered into roundtable raffles
+ Name displayed in the i49 mini-documentary Shade will be developing

In addition, Shade will be doing a stream event on his twitch channel, which will include a full team roundtable, in which we will answer community questions. It will also include various game streams (TF2, Binding of Issac, Starcraft 2) and raffles to donators including steam games and TF2 items.

If you do not feel like these donation incentives are relevant to you, do not feel obligated to donate anyway. We realize the amount we're asking for is still considerably more than what other teams may ask for ($0), so this donation drive is not a "you should help us get to LAN", but rather "if you are interested in any of the donation incentives and want to support us in return, then consider donating".

If you have any questions about any of the details for this donation drive, feel free to either post here or message me on IRC in #tf2.pug.na.
We sincerely appreciate your generosity,
HRG

#316 i46 documentary in TF2 General Discussion
kwahlsterWill there be an i49 documentary?

I plan on shooting some content that I will not upload right away to YouTube. I plan on, with the help of an editor, piecing together a small documentary for i49. I'm in the process of lining up interviews with iM and hopefully broder and epsilon as well. Either way along with my normal
Content I hope to release a mini docu on everything at i49. :)

#38 lan coverage in TF2 General Discussion

https://www.youtube.com/shadetf2

So I am planning on doing a team interview for AG at the ESEA LAN and team interviews with iM, broder, and Epsilon at i49. My question, should I make a new thread for any ideas and community questions or shall we keep it contained to this thread alone? I'm thinking a separate thread will be have to be made soon.

#15 lan coverage in TF2 General Discussion

I'll be doing my normal coverage. Hopefully before ESEA I am able to get my hands on a decent camera as well instead of using my iPod the entire time like usual. I'm always up to try and include any suggestions people have for footage. For this ESEA LAN and the i49 LAN I plan on recording A LOT of footage with the hopes of a big project to come following i49. So if you have ideas on footage you would like to see feel free to drop it in here and I'll do my best to get it on video.
