#673 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion
marmadukeGRYLLSpulpfixionAfter it's all said and done, these invite/main players(babies) wont have anywhere to go BUT CEVO so whine and complain all the fuck you want, if you ever want to play TF2 competitively looks like it's going to have to be CEVO, THE MAJORITY have spoken.pulpfixionReally sad to see a team put in a lot of hours time and dedication all season to have the most important match of their season decided in such a way even after pulling off an upset win to get to the finals.

ESEA really needs to step up here. A team up 4-0 with two of their players suddenly being dropped off the internet is enough proof for me and anyone with some common sense that something shady was going on. + frag this if you want to see a Crunchy Bunch vs Playground Tactics rematch.

If not a rematch at least give us a statement say something!

yo bro let's have ALL of our finals online so this can happen in EVERY final!

Those were two OPEN teams. OPEN teams don't go to LAN's so what exactly are you trying to say? we should have LAN's for OPEN? the fuck?

#5 Hey ESEA. The Viewers want a Rematch! in TF2 General Discussion
flipperspulpfixiondestroyerThis is a complete can of worms. You would have to go back 3 rounds and re-do the Toon Gang/Randy and Chums game as well.
This is the upper bracket finals we're talking about here.

yes it is but it would be unfair and unethical to grant one team a rematch and not the other, if we were going to grant rematches it should have been done in the beginning.

I think it's unethical NOT to give these guys a rematch, forget about the past this is now, something needs to be done now.

We gave that match a benefit of the doubt and that was the first time it happened, this is now the second time it has happened and above all else it happened in the upper bracket finals.

#22 Incident Wrap-up in TF2 General Discussion

ESEA should really let all invite players play for free without having to pay league fee's and premium if they wish to:

a) Help make TF2 a more legitimate e-sport

b) Mandate penalties and fines for off classing and seed fixing

If you pay for a service, you should have the right to off class as you please and choose to play to win or play to loose. How can you justify telling someone "pay to play in this league but you can't play any class you wish"

Taking away the fee that invite players must play to participate in ESEA will aliviate these problems and allow ESEA more power and and control to mandate such things as fines and penalties, punishment for playing to lose and off classing.
