a few things i feel are worth mentioning as a guy who runs a dm server
the map list: as far as i know sal was using a broken version of sourcemod and he couldnt find a way to use non-5cp maps in the rotation
im sure youre already looking into stuff like this but you should really consider adding the most recent version of product, and possibly readding turbine and gpit.
it would also be great to update sunshine and metalworks to their valve official versions instead of using the really outdated and frame-killing custom versions.
also this is my personal opinion but i feel like i gotta say; badlands and gullywash are not good dm maps and you should remove them. i get that theyre competitive staples but the spawns and layout of these maps do not make for a good dm experience.
the white list: this is probably a point of contention but imo it would be nice if you could keep it pretty limited in terms of what you allow. this is what i use http://whitelist.tf/6003
people should come to practice aiming, not using random weapon mechanics to cheese people
server settings: fixed spawns are bad use random ones
we turned damage based hp gain on recently and ive gotten mixed opinions on it. personally i like it more but there are some downsides.
as far as stopping the cheating guy, the route we went was using a plugin that completely blocked f2p accounts from joining. it seemed to work as ive never actually seen him in my server, the only downside being possibly blocking legitimate players using alts
i would really enjoy if you could restore the tftv servers to their former glory and i could stop wasting my money, thanks for taking this up
