trying to get valve to add stickers, esports crates and all that shit just seems unreasonable to me. a simple in game item with proceeds benefiting a LAN seems like enough to get a large prize pool.

WARHURYEAHI don't think having bigger lans with bigger prize pools is going to help things, I'd rather see a heavier focus on making leagues a lot more healthy which will in turn spawn more regular high quality content, help teams stick together for longer and give newer teams and players more motivation to improve.
how? money plays a very large factor in why pros are quitting for overwatch. larger prize pools will bring players AND sponsors.

an item in the mann co store could reach literally everyone in the community. compare that to the standard tf.tv forum post asking for donations. imagine a tf2 LAN with a 20,000-30,000 dollar prize pool. why not? theres more than enough people to fund it, all we need is exposure.

Meanwhile, valve is running CSGO and DOTA 2 which are both top 3 esports in the entire world. i disagree with a lot of shit that valve does, but blizzard has fucked me over way harder as a fan of the old diablo, starcraft, and warcraft games.
cs:go is kinda getting ruined by valve aswell, if you check the global offensive subreddit you'll notice.
pistols are op, jump shots are 100% reliable somehow now, rank system is absolute garbo aswell. (regarding the izakoo controversy.)

like i said, i disagree with a lot of shit valve does, especially with csgo. however, theyre usually SOMEWHAT quick to fix things that cause community outrage, and the mistakes arent franchise destroying like the ones that blizzard has made.
