EemesThis won’t quite be a ‘Quitting + My Story’, but since there have been a few questions about the reasons for my departure I will try to answer a few of them here.
My enthusiasm for the game and for high level competition dropped significantly after the s34 finals, and never really recovered sufficiently to a point where I had the same desire to win and perform well as I had previously. This coinciding with an important final term at uni meant that I no longer had the time, or really the motivation, to compete at the kind of level I would want myself and my team to be at. These factors were already in place when I saw that Klassy had decided to leave Ascent, and after discussing it with him I realised that he and I were really in pretty much the same position; the only difference being that I maincall for Øra, and thus my departure was likely to leave a bigger hole to be filled than his.
However, that responsibility cuts both ways, and I realised that having the team limp on under an unfocused maincaller was really going to do more harm than good, not least in terms of morale and enjoyment, as well as results. So I quit.
I’d like to thank all my teammates over the years for being so much fun to play with and giving me so many good memories, in particular Nevo and Azunis, whom I’ve played with for over 2 years now (on and off). I’d also like to thank this season’s roster for being so understanding and respectful of my final decision to quit. Finally, I want to wish good luck to amarok, counou, shock and Yeehaw who will all be competing at Copenhagen Games (please keep donating to shock’s fundraiser!); you’re all beast players and your teams are lucky to have you.

Myself and Eemes will post an update to this once we have decided the best course of action. Thank you to everyone who kindly donated to the cause up until now.
Little did they know this was Eemes' plan all along....
Obviously I cannot speak for all prem/invite/top level players when I say this, but for me personally, I have been put off from sending my frag clips to the Top 10 plays of the month for the reason that: I've submitted clips multiple times in the past, only for them to be not included, while other clips, which I see as no where near the level of what I send in (In terms of the actual play, not context of the game or who the clip is against) do get included, and sometimes even at #2 or #1.
Don't get me wrong, I love the series, its one of the main things I watched when I was getting into comp years and years ago (Though it would be a lot more watchable imo if you increased the viewmodel fov). But I am extremely grateful for all the work you and eXtv have put in and kept it going over the years.
MRfunnyalieni remember a b4nny iseries 4k was #2 behind a tf2center pyro airblasting people into the pit on steel
If I'm honest, I'm not sure a lot of prem/div1/invite players actually pay attention to the series for this kind of reason. Which sucks, but I don't blame them. I completely understand that as wan said its geared towards pubbers maybe more than the active competitive scene but I also agree fully with this:
Wandumlike i get that youre trying to reach a wider audience but in the process youre also just misrepresenting the entire scene and comming off as not being genuine to the people i assume youre trying to promote
and I think its reasons like these that are why maybe you have to go off Beater sending clips from top players now and not the players themselves. We all record demos as we are obliged to by league rules, we're just disincentivized because, in the past our double airshot followed by a 3k in a prem semi-final that we submitted, gets placed behind a sniper getting a 5 kill streak with the machina where 4 of them were bodyshots in a lobby, or worse, not included at all. (Or something along those lines.)

I was wondering if there was a way to make the background transparent and the scoreboard translucent when you press tab? coz right now, it's a blinding white. I use dx8 btw. Thanks!
to fix that go into the hud folder, resource, ui. Delete the scoreboard.res file and rename the one labelled scoreboard dx8 to just scoreboard, should fix it
