Collaideklassysnipagain that's all logical and good. you have rational explanations for it and i don't really disagree with you.
but for being one of the top3 most notorious slur users in europe, has he EVER gotten banned for it? the odds of no pug admin ever hearing or seeing it is like 0%. the argument isn't "you ignore everything your friends do" it's just that it's a unconcious willingness to let things slide. and ngl i would probably have the same biases i'm fucking stupid.
obviously, if it is reported he would get banned. the admins are not going to monitor everyones comms 24/7 getting ready to ban them right there and then. no one would be getting away with saying malicious slurs
