another thing u could do before u decide to buy a new hw, if u havent done this where you unpark your cpu then give this a try
detail explanation here http://www.coderbag.com/programming-c/disable-cpu-core-parking-utility
from cpubenchmark https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.30GHz
6,486
Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2 @ 3.30GHz
8,836
i completely disagree with rigel, sandy bridge to ivy bridge is a big upgrade considering ive had the same cpu as u had before and i noticed the big fps improvement when i went with ivy bridge generation aswell with no lag when i was streamign 1080p and aswell less time when rendering frag videos back when i made clips for extv
with my xeon 1230v2 i get like consistently 310 fps in 6s matches although with chris config highframes using 1920x1080 resolution
ur motherboard do indeed support xeon cpus
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H67M/HelpDesk_CPU/
u need a better cpu
tf2 use cpu more than gpu
u can buy i7 3770k 329 usd or xeon 1230v2 224 usd. both cpus are the same only difference xeon deosnt have integrated gpu and u cant overclock it.
i have the xeon cpu myself with can stream 1080 60fps just fine.
if so how does the game look like? any improvement?
you need to update the latest nvidia driver to enable dsr for ur gtx 900 series
what is dsr? http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/technology
ah ok but i remember tf.tv used to pay casters from their website ads revenue and twitch subscription model.
im not sure if this is relevent to this issue but i noticed since the update from last week i start to get alot more screen tearing on tf2. this is the first time i get ALOT of screen tearing since i started playing tf2 comp. 2 years
im not sure why but playing cs go doesnt give me ANY screen tearing at all no matter what server i use.
while tf2 gives me 14 screen tearing during fast movement when i used to get 1-2 before the update
jackylegs, i cannot reproduce that description.
also my friend mentioned he stutters when someone joined during hl match.
seems the stutters/freeze occur randomely

- Stuttering/freezing
wish to bump this thread since last week i started to get like stutters every 5 minutes and freeze once every beginning of a match when its mp_tournament
this got significantly worse since the freeze/stutters started aprox 1month ago
had the same issue, turns out in my case that my socket pins are bent downwards which didnt give full contacts to my cpu.

Match is scheduled for 2100, but will no doubt start a few minutes late.
i have little information but its supposed to start in one hour today based on the time i started this thread
shitty promotion i know :/ its supposed to be for charity too
i only used 16:9 since i started playing tf2, never changed it. anyway changing the file works so hopefully it will work for other ppl who has the issue now
