No, not anyone could be the best. To be the best at something, it requires work + high cognitive abilities + possible natural aptitude. There are people who have entered Invite with sub 5k hours, and there are people with over 10k hours and little to show for it.

Why come back to this game? Why? Surely yomps must have noticed an overall improvement of his life after not playing. It must be a rude awakening when he realized that instead of playing TF2, he could have been lifting, reading, honing an applicable skill, etc. Time is too precious.

LOL this game is a rotting corpse. Too many people who have the ability to play this game well have zero competitive integrity. In a division meant to be oriented towards newbies and players finding their wings, you have a team with 2 objectively invite-capable players winning. In the intermediate division which is supposed to mature up-and-coming players, you have 2 grand final teams stacked with players, who in all seriousness, SHOULD be playing invite. Sandbagging is reprehensible and TF2's competitive ecosystem would be better off with sandbaggers either playing in the division that matches their ability, or not playing at all.
