TheFragileShould ww be allowed to drive a car y/n

Ronit should not be allowed near any motor vehicle.

CorsaDo you prefer oranges or clementines? Funniest picture of you at LAN?

Tangerine. Not sure if there are m(any). I'm always the last one awake.

Lucky_ShotSince you live in Chicago and i assume are a Blackhawks fan, did you go to any of the stanely cup games or playoff games last year? How about Patrick Sharp's hatty Thursday night? How about Patrick sharps defensive play on duchene Thursday night? sorry i just fucking love hockey and not many in the community do

I watch every game, I try to get to a few each year - been to three this season. I haven't been to a playoff game since 2009, they're expensive. Sharp is great, last night was fun to watch - surprised Roy didn't pull Giguere sooner considering the hissy fit he threw in Montreal. Also, would be tragic if Sharp isn't in Sochi, he deserves a spot.

TaKoCheesebest mge player?

I don't play MGE.

DNJwhat is the best tf2 match you've ever watched/played in?

what is the best quake live duel you've ever watched/played in?

Too many to pick one. I will say that by far the most entertaining tf2 matches are on koth and a/d style maps. I think on every single push map all the same rules apply, there's no real varying strategy or unique style - scrimming becomes boring/redundant. Badlands: go valley or house -> push side of spire/climb spire -> push lower main/upper left into last. It's been that day since day one and not much has changed, very rare to offclass, etc. I think if you had to cap gravelpit in order A -> B-> C it would be more interesting and decrease the luck factor.

Same goes for Quake, too many to pick. I think the most entertaining tournament was at Quakecon in 2007. It was called Quad Damage, check it out on youtube.

fsXDHow has playing competitive tf2 evolved you as a person?

I'm not sure it has, but I've certainly come into contact with many people I would consider real friends.

heraquaHow often do you read these forums?

Almost everyday, certainly every work day.

Kuwabatake_SanjuroWhat's your favorite movie?

This Is Spinal Tap.

BlackMirrorWow i just realised that you made zis is rapha :O.
Probably my most favorite fragmovie of all time.If i watch it I instantly want to play some quake again. (No im not being cheesy :))

What do you think about the current state of quake?
Did rapha ever try tf2,what games is he currently playin?
Which games are you currently playing other than tf2?

Quake suffers from two big problems: Skill ceiling and player base spread across multiple quakes/mods/knockoff games. I'm not sure if rapha ever tried tf2, he likely has very briefly. I don't know what he's playing, I know that most of the Quake players just train for about 2 weeks or so before a big LAN and then barely play between then, if at all. I play BF4, that's about it.

kaneWhy did ww- quit?

He was bored of the game, not much has changed in TF2. Having a serious look at class restrictions/unlocks/map rotation is more important than people think. Lots of top players are quitting, and while other players can always slide in to give the appearance of stability at the highest level, they aren't really filling their shoes.

capnfapnwhat are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?

Strengths: At the risk of sounding conceited, I think I'm a relatively intelligent guy.
Weaknesses: Balancing my competitive nature with a casual and teetering apathetic approach to video games, or at least the outcome.

gewtWho's your favorite TF2 teammate you've played with and why?

I couldn't pick one, I've had a blast at every LAN I've attended with all my teammates. So rather than pick a favorite teammate, I'll just say Season 6 and Season 13 were probably the most fun I had at LAN. Also, TheFragile came to chicago last month for a weekend, good times. Here's a picture I took of him at the top of the Willis Tower, 1400 feet.

MoyWhat was your favorite class in college? High School? Best restaurant you ever ate at?

In college, I really liked Organic Chemistry. High School, I don't know - Art Classes probably. I ate at a restaurant in Boston called Neptune that was really good.

FacstabCircumcised or not.

Circumcised, wouldn't do it to my kids though.

poopsharkwhos gonna play in the next superbowl / whos gonna win

I watch hockey, rugby and soccer. Broncos vs Eagles would probably be the most entertaining though.

leakyConsistency tips for scout?

The best way to be consistent is to execute things you have complete control over correctly, e.g. hitting tab a lot, keeping track of ubers, good comms - not useless white noise. Also, I think anticipation is the most important aspect of the game, it applies to everything.

Air_favorite single player game you've ever played?

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time..I probably beat that game 3-4 times in middle school. As far as PC goes, I really don't play single player games. I beat Quake 1, Quake 2, Half Life 2, Portal, Battlefield 4..I think that might be it.

defyfavorite kind of food? do you live close to goose island? if so can you send me bourbon county variants? god bless

Seafood, I ate like a king on my trip to Boston. I live really close to Goose Island, I don't drink it as often as I used to because they were bought out by Anheuser Busch. You should try out pretty much anything from Lagunitas, Half Acre, New Glarus, Pipeworks, Two Brothers, Revolution..

bagelDo you sign weapons? Will you be playing on a team in the future? (sorry if these are asked already)

I always sign weapons, anyone can add me. I answered earlier about playing in the future, you can read the previous posts if you'd like to know - and check out my dog.

http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/3415/6xt6.jpg

neeko_also, have you ever got rapha or dahang to try 6's tf2?

DaHanG asked me to teach him/play around season 6 I believe. He prefers playing on teams than dueling, but that's all that's popular in Quake competitively. He played a few scrims/pubs as scout, he did pretty good. Then QuakeCon announced CTF so he got his teamplay fill, and he was busy with school so he didn't want to split his time between multiple games.

erkstonis pyro viable

I think pyro airblast is broken. Not sure why teams don't pocket a pyro for uber vs uber defensively the majority of the time, but I refuse to do it - same reason I didn't use Bonk or play Heavy.

zigzterOf the frag movies you made, do you have a favourite, or one that was the most fun to work on? (or both)

I think 'zis is rapha' is my best video. I think the flow/pacing/sync was done well, I just make frag videos that I like to watch. I'm not impressed by a ton of effects, I like to do a bunch of subtle/smooth things throughout the video that make it feel like they were meant to be together. I also really try to avoid using fast forward, slow motion to sync stuff, this helps with the feeling that the clips/song were meant for each other rather than forced (see: the second example I give below). To me it's like putting together a puzzle, finding when/where to put clips in the song. I spend a lot of time trying to put everything in the correct order to match the type of frag/cam with the tempo of the song, sync, etc.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojR_qedzzK8

I think 2:00 to roughly 3:00 or so is a good example, everything has a purpose - all the transitions are smooth..even the lyrics "what did you expect to find..?" right as he turns the corner to see cypher, just subtle stuff.

Another example is the clip at 5:02. The song settles down into first person, then syncs the first rail, the pacing of the song picks up when he rocket jumps to chase for a kill, syncs on the second rocket jump and a sync on the rail kill.

That's probably a much more elaborate answer than you wanted, but I'm done rambling now.

LionxjustinLionxWhat was it like at your first LAN?
Do you mean ESEA? If so, specify and I'll answer.

Yeah I meant ESEA LAN but that other answer was good.

My first ESEA LAN was fun, it was really interesting meeting so many people you knew but have never seen, all at once. Kermit dodged hours before our flights, so we posted a thread on gotfrag asking if anyone in Dallas could play. Some young stud named Dante 'shade' Funari answered the call and the rest is history. I think all the players at the first LAN were: cyzer, casey, reptile, davis(rip destro), phelon, syckness, oplaid, pokey, seagull, sequel, dummy, grieve, justin, fanom, shade, tlr, ww, fragile, carnage, animeman, relic, pyyyyour, solidsnake, jaeger. 2/24 players still play invite, rip.

hooliWhat are some commonly overlooked qualities that are required to be one of the best players?

That's too broad of a question to answer, if you want to know about a specific class, it would help me narrow it down.

As far as becoming one of the best players, I think it's really important to have a knowledge of all the classes, playing them at a high competitive level, not just pubbing/pugging. All of the best players in the game could play invite on any class. I also think quality is more important than quantity. I barely have over 2,000 hours on this game, but it's probably 70% invite scrims/matches, 20% pubs/pugs, 10% idling hats. I think I have a good understanding of the game because of this, and more time spent would just be getting my aim to where it can be, which I don't because I'm lazy and like riding others coattails. :>

Snowdreamhow do you acquire so many fanboys?

I don't know, I'll ask someone who has them.

1. TF2 PLayer
2. Quake live player

DaHanG is the best overall FPS player I've played with/against.

WhiskerBiscuitWho would you most be excited to see make a return to TF2 competitively and why?

Any teammate I've played with at LAN, they're all fun people. To give you some perspective on what invite TF2 currently is, here's a list of players that I played on a team with at LAN that don't currently play invite. fragile, shade, ww, fanom, kermit(lol), orzo, saber07, ruwin(lol), carnage, relic, oplaid, sweater, ryanr, dummy, pyyyyour, seanbud, zbryan. I think all those players are still upper invite caliber too, which is sad for tf2 :<.

TLRhow many heavies at dropdown

There are two heavies at dropdown. Two.

p0peI don't know if this is widely known to everyone except me but does your competitive history begin with TF2?

I played a lot of Quake 2 at the highest level in duel/tdm/ctf/ca.

ANDYYYYYYYbest scout in invite this season

It's a team game, but I don't think there's a scout that stands out above everyone else this season of invite.

Irishhhhfavorite play you made in tf2?

The very first ESEA TF2 LAN (Season 5), everyone was set up and it was Pandemic vs coL on viaduct. Brad came over to me right before we started and was joking about how I might hit a few headshots on him. The very first shot of the match was a headshot on him, dunked on.

LionxWhat was it like at your first LAN?

Do you mean ESEA? If so, specify and I'll answer. Otherwise my first LAN was Showdown LAN 2008 in Peoria, IL. I picked up TecH at the airport, he was the first person I ever met from the internet. It was a BYOC and his case was cracked from the flight. So when we got to the hotel we plugged it in to make sure it worked and his fans blew about a pound of cigarette ashes everywhere, it was disgusting. At the actual LAN there was a 5v5 TF2 tournament. I played with TecH, Nightmare`HX and two guys from BB (Bukkake Baptism, still one of the best team names). We played against BB in the finals and won $1200 processors. We had asked oPlaiD to play with us, but he was in the COD4 tournament and thought he was going to win the same prize, but he got 2nd and won some $50 computer case.

sherman_gluckdo you know rapha? can you get him to sign my sk mousepad?

I do. I can. He lives about 20 minutes from me.

kirbyWhat made you interested in making frag videos?

What makes anyone interested in anything? I'm not sure how to answer that, I've always enjoyed watching frag videos and it's not difficult to get into. It's just something I do for fun.

zephyrIf you could listen to one song and only that song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I listen to so much music it would be impossible to answer that honestly. These artists always seem to make it into my rotation though: lcd soundsystem / tycho / phantogram / tom day / yppah / emancipator / bonobo.

SnowyEver planning to make the big comeback?

I'm always open to playing, I thought I would be this season. If the opportunity presents itself then I will, but I don't actively seek teams. I just enjoy playing with people I like.

phobiaWhat do you think has changed the most over the years of competitive tf2?

I think the risk/reward calculations are better understood. In some aspects the game has been sped up because people understand their advantages better. On the flip side, those advantages are often defensive ones.

GeknaiirWere you bookshe1f in the zowie tournament?

(also where can I get your cfg)

I do know who bookshe1f is, but I'm not sure he wants his identity revealed.

yankeehow long did it take to register what had happened after hitting this shot?

Rockkkkkkkteam banny or team plat

I think if both teams play to their full potential, mixup will win.

pandurrrtits or ass?

Ass.

etherIs TF2 dead soon or where do you see it going?

TF2 isn't going anywhere, it's free to play and has a massive player base with no similar games coming out to directly compete with it in the foreseeable future. Also, competitive TF2 is a lot bigger than meets the eye. There's just a huge division of players across esea, cevo, ugc, mlg, 6v6, 8v8 (used to be), 9v9, etc. which I think is the major issue, and seems to be overlooked by everyone.

Alderhow far could you throw me

I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs, how far could you throw me?

alec_do you always wear your blackhawks hat backwards when u play

I often wear hats when playing, although I think I only wore that to one LAN.

Lunewhat socks are you wearing

None.

remedywhats your favorite thing about today

It's Friday - about half of my office was gone, watched a lot of documentaries at work.

AloSecin your opinion, is CEVO going to succeed?

I think the leagues are an irrelevant platform, the people are what make it successful. Splitting the community even further is risky, but so is putting all your eggs in one basket. CEVO will be as successful as people want it to be.

People keep posting about how TF2 lighting and colors are perfect and no one should use color correction. You need to use some form of color correction if you want to mimic vanilla colors, during the dubbing/encoding process information is lost and the colors are dulled.

#1 meatshot 8) vol. 5 in TF2 General Discussion

- On or about April 3, 2013, ESEA, through its employees, further created code to
monitor the programs that ESEA end-users ran on their computers, even when those end-userswere not using ESEA services and the ESEA Software was not turned on ("ESEA Monitoring
Code").

- To play on ESEA hosted game servers, end-users must download and install
ESEA Software onto their computers. Once installed, the ESEA Software enables ESEA full
administrative access of end-users' computers.

- At least defendants Hunczak and Thunberg had fuIl administrative access to all
end-users' computers. The ESEA Software enabled Defendants to not only monitor end-user
computer activity but also view and upload any and all end-users' computer files.

- The ESEA Monitoring Code monitored computer activity even
when end-users were not using ESEA services and the ESEA Software was not turned on. ESEA
concealed the ESEA Monitoring Code in the ESEA Software driver on end-users' computers.
ESEA also programed the ESEA Software to reload the ESEA Monitoring Code even if end-users attempted to "unload" the driver.

- Prior to implementation, Thunberg approved the ESEA Monitoring Code and
allowed the ESEA Monitoring Code to be place on end-users' computers via the ESEA
Software.

- In at least several instances, ESEA employees used the ESEA Software to copy
files from ESEA end-users' computers.

- Once executed and running on end-users' computers, the ESEA Bitcoin Mining
Code was set to mine for bitcoins only when end-users' were away from their computer. Among
other methods, the code detected whether end-users were active on their computers by
monitoring end-users' mouse movements and/or mouse location.

- Defendant Hunczak created at least four bitcoin wallet addresSes where he
deposited bitcoiàs mined from the ESEA Botnet.

- Defendant Hunczak then sold the bitcoins from the ESEA Botnet, converting the
bitcoins into U.S. dollars. The proceeds were then deposited into Hunczak's personal bank
account.
