#49 Player skill rating added to the game in TF2 General Discussion

Looking through the pastebins negasora linked, it excites me. The terminology used sounds like it uses tournament mode, as it talks about remaining time (ready_up_remaining_time) and uses the word "lobby" a lot (eg LobbyTime) and also talks about CTF (CTFLobbyMember). Although it has a few mentions of quickplay and also a few mentions of Tour of Duty, so I'm not sure. Maybe this skill rating will be incorporated in lobbies, pubs, and mvm?

edit: also the line "TF_GC_TEAM_BROADCASTER" makes me really excited at the possibility of having a slot incorporated into the game meant for casters or broadcasters but who knows.

#43 the art thread in Off Topic

A couple years ago I made youtube backgrounds, back when those were a thing. Was just a bit of photoshop but I thought they were nifty.

#76 THE REMATCH IS REAL in TF2 General Discussion

I don't really care about the outcome of the match too much, but I do agree with the posts here about the rules needing a serious revamp. There is NO reason to have such a specific rule like "pauses may last up to 5 minutes" and then never enforce it or pretend it doesn't exist. Either put the rule in and enforce it, or remove the rule. Having all of these rules that don't actually matter just clutters, confuses, and causes problems like this. I hope ugc seriously reevaluates their current rules to at least a certain type of sensible.

also

12.2. In addition, admins may enforce map specific or general Rules at any time during the season. These Rules will be posted by the administrators on the main news page of the league. As long as these Rules are either on the news page or the Rules page, they WILL be enforced.

DrPloxohaventUsed to have respect for him, lost it today. On stream he showed a photo of this girl that he used to have a crush on and basically called her fat in front of like 350 people and saying she crushed his dreams bc she "used to be really hot". Proceeds to call me out for saying it was rude, but honestly I'll take a callout for not supporting public shaming of people based off their bodies. To be honest, why bother calling him out on it?
People get fat shortly after high school. "Freshman 15*" is a real thing. It affects women much more than men since men don't completely leave pubescence until the mid-late 20's as far as hormones and metabolism goes. She's still a pretty young lady with a decent smile on her. Ruwin was just saying it's definitely not his type. You could point out the hundreds of reasons he should probably put that attitude in check, or just think "I can't wait until he gets 30 and bloats like a corpse in the sun."

he didn't say she was not his type. He said she used to be hot, would look cute without the excess, etc. It was calling her fat (and ugly because of her body size) on a stream to 300 people. big difference between that and "not my type"
