#11 UGC Plat: MenaceToSociety vs. bote team in Events
CHERRYMankutpeople can still switch sides though if they feel the change in demo affects their odds. it seems a bit extreme to nullify the whole thing because of one roster change. When I was nullifying it their captain said that they'll play 8v9..

they are not going to play 8v9. if they do then that is a slap in the face to every backup they have on the roster telling them they're not good enough to play.

just some insight on the match, it looks like bote's starting demo won't be here tonight and instead of using one of their 10 backups they have on the roster they want to use a ringer instead. i normally have no issue allowing ringers regular season, but with that many backups and having had a whole season to have coverage for all classes i chose to deny them one. they apparently didn't even try asking their backups before trying to get a ringer instead, whats the point of having backups if you don't even try to use them? hopefully its still a good match and whoever they have show up ends up playing well.

PhunkYou are. I agree with marm here. I think that froyo definitely has the top 6 and if not, close to the top in each role of the team worldwide, and I don't really think Its possible to beat them without a massive practice advantage since they have the best DM and cohesion .

I don't think that bootcamping for a couple of weeks is going to make or break froyo , but I could be wrong.

posts like these are simply just wrong. yes froyo has top talent in pretty much every role, but there are players out there even without extensive amounts of practice that could beat them. its embarrassing to read people talk about a team as unbeatable. like i said before, the pieces are out there that could beat them. they just haven't came together, and who knows if they ever will.

tetrominoFor my nerd curiosity, what would your dream froyo-killer team be?

cozen med, bdonski demo, mike & squid on scout, and then either rando/milo/grape pocket and me roaming

that is not taking into account any peoples attitudes towards each other or willingness to play obviously, but from a talent level its a team that could compete well on a class by class basis.

lanskyharbleuthere is enough talent on the 2-4 teams to form a team that could beat froyo. its all about putting the pieces together, which froyo has done. if s12 mixup with ruwin and brad had stuck together for the length of the current froyo lineup it would have been the same situation.
though i agree that if your team stuck together it could have been the same situation, i would argue the i52/s16 ESEA mixup was easily the strongest roster your team has had overall, basically a direct upgrade in every role compared to your i46 roster

the amount of callers on the i46 mixup roster made it a unique team that i have never played on one like since. literally every player on that team was capable of calling and giving valuable input in terms of strategy and on the fly adjustments. it was also when all of our players were in our primes, ruwin was unstoppable, brad was on the top of his med game, tlr was nuts, plat was the best demo in tf2. if that roster would have stuck together i do not doubt we would have won multiple championships for multiple seasons. no doubt though your current froyo roster is definitely a force to be reckoned with, and i would have loved to have been able to pit the teams in their primes against each other.

The 2nd-4th place games have all been really close and pretty damn interesting to watch.

do you even realize how pathetically disgusting that is to think/say in regards to a "competitive" game?

froyo wont lose an esea lan until they lose 2+ players. shits over son.
