I plaid in an unlocks only tournament hosted through a subreddit. Despite the fact that there were some interesting strategies involved, it came down to whichever team's heavy died first, they would lose the fight which was way more uninteresting than the current sixes meta.

It's a great system that, as usual, has no good base of new games to support it. I barely play mine anymore.

obviously i have no merit over who gets picked for FC guests or anything, but I was thinking a cool pre-i49 hype episode could have people like alfa, yuki, and powah who have played in tf2 leagues on different continents and talk about the differences those leagues have (skill levels, DM, playstyles, etc) to get a better look at the international scene. dunno if it would generate enough stuff to talk about but it was just an idea. can't wait for this episode, keep up the awesome work guys!
