#21 bowswer5 lft scout in Recruitment (looking for team)
MaxHaxNo bullshit, I've literally heard like 3 people say he was amazing, but nobody seemed to know his main. Amazing at different classes?

Bowswer plays sniper in ugc platinum highlander.

He also wants to play scout in high open or low im.

I've known bowswer for close to three years now, amazing guy tbh. While he can get hot headed when you insult his ego, he's honestly a nice guy when you get to know him. Amazing player, improves at a rate that I haven't seen in a long time, and I've been watching comp tf2 since s3. While you may see sniper main and just bug off instantly, he isn't a person that plays 6s sniper (*cough* leaky). His moral is awesome, he has a habit of pushing his teammates to the limit to get peak performance out of everyone. Comms are concise and get the point across. Lacks some experience, but has drive to improve, and I can see him easily becoming a respectable player in 1-2 seasons.

well I see they prepared you well

ib kids are also known for being notoriously tired all the time so shit like this happens alot

#16 Going into IB in TF2 General Discussion
hitherenickplusdokidokipanicjust cheat like every other ib person i knew and youll be fine.possibly the stupidest shit i've ever heard
then again hithere hasn't posted in this thread yet so im sure itll be topped

i've been through ib though

ib is really hard for me, well technically just ss and science

english was just poetry and multiple paragraphs, but for science and ss every week they'd hand us 2 essays to do and we had to had it done and presentated on something like a keynote or powerpoint by the end of the week. had to take a season of tf2 off just so i could keep my grades up, cause the teachers over at ib for me are always giving me homework to do.

the other subjects were like 8th grade standards, not too shabby, but it took me a little while to get into math, since it was so hard to remember every formula and shit

almost done with ib too, once the year ends, usually everything slows down and there's a lot more cleberations well from my experience at ib

from the main idea: ib is too much time consuming, i couldn't get enough practice on tf2, had to stop tf2 to study and get good grades to get those free credits

p.s - i really wouldn't be too worried if i were you though, they're like mini essays and projects, but for me i'm a workaholic so i always dedicated as much time as possible to making my essays or projects into perfection

i can vouch for this, most ib kids are very anal about their grades and history and science are easily the two hardest subjects unless you decide to take high level calculus classes (like calc 1 and 2)

rip rhythm game and music intensive streams

maybe someone will find a a way around the copyright (speeding up the song by like 3-4% used to bypass the youtube one)

#14 Going into IB in TF2 General Discussion

i did ib through high school

math is easy as you should honestly go for lower level unless you really feel you excel in math

science i took IB physics, which was.. pretty god damn hard, but I toughed through it

languages i took spanish, pretty easy considering you didnt have to really know it just how to recognize key words and get the gist out of a paragraph

history is what concerns most people, but as long as you stay ontop of your shit and study, you'll do fine.

english was where I faltered, my senior year english teacher was a massive poetry buff, and bob dylan buff. every fucking day i would walk into class and he'd have us compare this poem to a bob dylan song, worst experience of my life, also would fail you on persuasive essays unless you wrote exactly what he wanted even though the goal was to state your side

IB is honestly great because you get free credits depending on where you choose to go to school, and you learn to effectively study and manage your time wisely

-

as for my tf2 career, I honestly am not good at tf2 and probably won't ever will be, but I live on the west coast, and with Theory of Knowledge (TOK) happening for me after school from 3-5 I couldn't scrim with my team until around 8:30 EST, which is usually on time for like half a scrim before your matches start (i played shitty steel highlander and rang for 6s teams)

tl;dr - IB is fairly easy as long as you manage your time, and it shouldn't affect your TF2 career too much, but if you want to get ample time in for scrims you might want to consider getting used to 3-5 hours of sleep a night

oh and don't cheat they'll kick you right out of the program and you will not recieve a diploma or anything (had it happen to a friend of mine who "CHEATED" on a research paper). like don't even try to cheat, they check all papers for plagiarism using shit like turnitin.com (which cross checks your paper across the entire internet, and against papers already turned in)
