Psychotropicenigmahttp://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/15339-esea-season-starting-soon-lets-talk/4#post-99Was this the season that the prize pot was doubled because of the Bitcoin incident?
the tf2 prize pot was never influenced by the bitcoin stuff
Psychotropicenigmahttp://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/15339-esea-season-starting-soon-lets-talk/4#post-99It seems strange that their biggest expense (prize pot) is misaligned with their biggest income (open).
this is a complaint that's been brought up over and over again but it's a fundamental consequence of a tiered league system
you can't simultaneously incentivize high level play (climbing a league/ladder) while proportioning the prize purse such that the largest paying group receives the largest portion of the money
because prize pots are announced ~halfway through the season, I assume they're determined by the current season's registration
there's only group registration available right now which is open for one more day
if you guys post your lanfest usernames here ASAP I can get us a guaranteed block:

let's go
thrasherDid you reall take the time to add all that up? AG main had clockwork, dummy, and blaze and they didnt get casted. Unless there are other events planned at the same time, all grand finals should be casted.
then cast them yourself jesus christ
no one on our end is obligated to cast/camera anything at all; they do it because occasionally have some free time on weeknights to provide you with some entertainment
x3remove from tf.tv sidebar plz
0 related to TF2.
i'll be implementing a change to the sidebar shortly that'll let you filter what shows up there so sit tight
website development is an ongoing process that hasn't really stopped ever since the inception of TFTV (http://i.imgur.com/d4amOY0.png). backend improvements/bug fixes/optimization may not be apparent on the outside, but there are some things on the docket that I hope to push out in the upcoming month that'll be more interesting to the general user base:
a good portion of my time is already spent on managing casts/tournaments and making sure the organization you see as TFTV runs smoothly. the amount of work I put in really doesn't justify the money I make at all, but I do it because everyone involved with TFTV is fantastic to work with and I get a lot of satisfaction out of knowing that people enjoy the content we produce.
x3 For exemple, i think there should be a way, when you are a subscriber to this website, to also have the cool sub icon on Twitch teamfortress.tv account. Would this be possible? Maybe Twitch John could help us with this?
the first thing I looked into when developing the sub system was some sort of integration with Twitch's and it just wasn't feasible for two reasons:
i'll be adding some sort of trial to tftv+ in short time because I genuinely think that the post highlighting is a really neat feature that adds a lot of value for frequent forum browsers
the casters do already get paid by ESEA (almost enough to cover the costs of flights)
I think the problem is that there isn't enough of a benefit to having the casters on location that warrants having to deal with setup/logistics on site
