made the changes outlined here sitewide:
these features include:
- a number next to the post count that represents the number of new posts since your previous visit to the thread
- clicking a thread link takes you to the last post in the thread from your previous visit
please note that thread tracking is account-bound, which means that these features won't be active when you're logged out. threads should show as containing all new posts since nothing's been tracked until now.
i've noticed a significant portion of the tf2 community also plays/follows csgo and am curious to see if a section dedicated to the game can gain any traction.
to that end, i've whipped up a (crude and probably buggy) news aggregator that pulls posts from hltv/esea/csgo blog and soon thedailydot + aftonbladet.
i've also enabled previous tftv+ features on that section of the site, which i hope to release site-wide pending a lack of performance issues. these features include:
- a number next to the post count that represents the number of new posts since your previous visit to the thread
- clicking a thread link takes you to the last post in the thread from your previous visit
please note that thread tracking is account-bound, which means that these features won't be active when you're logged out. csgo threads should also show all threads as containing all new posts since nothing's been tracked until now.
anyways, the csgo stuff is just proof-of-concept that i can improve/expand on by miles, but i'd like to gauge a general reaction before pouring effort into it.
thoughts?
i'll add a filter eventually but for now you can just append ?sort=top to the specific subforum
for example: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/1/tf2-general-discussion?sort=top
I own 3 versions: the regular abyssus, mirror version, and 2014 version
the regular abyssus has high LOD and jitter
the mirror version (gross coating aside) worked well for me until the left click stopped working after ~3-4 months
the 2014 version has been alright so far, but with a few caveats:
- the DPI won't stick for me without running synapse
- you need to update the firmware to fix the by-default low malfunction speed
- high LOD on some mousepads that you can fix it by sticking a piece of semitransparent scotch tape over the sensor
that said, I do really like the shape and price point

looks familiar....
you need to add a [*] tag for every bullet inside the list
see:
- list
- then the
strikethroughtags don't work
Forsak3nTbh its silly to ask for the support when each region has its own ruleset on how 6s are played (eg unlocks, timelimits and winlimits).
That would be amazing if the headadmins of all leagues had a chat and came up with one ruleset for all, to which therefore Valve could implement things.
not really sure I see the relevance... suggestions can be format-agnostic
I'm posing this question to you guys in order to funnel Valve feedback on how to better support the competitive scene.
To start, let's focus on concrete ideas/features/fixes that Valve can release in the short term, taking into consideration:
- magnitude of the effect on the competitive TF2 community
- ease of implemenetation
Be thorough in your responses. If it's a bug you're pointing out, please be specific and also detail how to reproduce it.
Stay on topic -- jokes/spam/flaming will be deleted.
