#5 QoS Setup in Hardware
dollarlayerPort 27015 is what most servers use 27015, but sometimes they use another port like 27016 or something. It would be TCP. UDP is broadcast spam from like a printer for example. UDP AFAIK in normal router configurations can not pass subnets, so it shouldn't be relevant to enable QoS on UDP for TF2.

IMO though consumer grade QoS in routers is generally not very good and I'm unsure if it makes much of a difference.

I think the router will prompt you to restart it if it is required in order for the settings to take effect.

Most networking time critical applications use UDP, including multiplayer games like TF2.

#366 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion

He is DRAMATICALLY worse at sniper when it's off, its not even a question of whether he's having an off-day or not. Too bad he has to use walls because his reaction time is too slow.

Should check for multiple alts as well, I'm sure that's not the only one. The patterns to look for he does (that no other good snipers do):
- jump around corners exposing himself to multiple angles, instead of controlling angles 1 by 1 to determine where the other sniper is. (I WONDER WHY?)
- if you pixel peek, or fake jump around a wall - sometimes he will click even though you haven't made yourself visible from behind the wall yet (tested this in scrims when he was on his main)
- as scout, the "across the map chipshots" are hitting every pellet way too consistently. Normally you expect 3 or 6 damage sometimes 10, but its a red flag if it hits 10+ every time, especially if you slow down the demo and see how his crosshair isn't even on the target

#3 Resume advice? in Off Topic

Send me an add, I do résumé critiques for freshmen.

Quick Tips:
1. Take a look at some online templates and examples
2. It *should* be catered to a specific audience/company (style AND content)
3. Make sure there are no spelling errors, it will get thrown out immediately without a 2nd look by almost every recruiter

Windows bootcamp makes for a much better experience. After the Halloween update, I did get similar issues to you on OSX so it's only playable on Windows bootcamp now for me =(

#10 Potential keylogger? in Off Topic
MasterKuniIf he wrote his own keylogger no antivirus in the world would be able to detect it.

Ugh... Have you ever heard of behaviour-based detection?

Yea, the BEST thing to do is update update update.
- Browser
- Windows/OSX security updates
- Anti-virus

Hackers use browser exploits to install the crime ware, but these exploits get patched very quickly.

eeeMasterKuniThey don't use Steam Guard.ur dum

they usually either mirror the steam guard confirmation box and get you to check your own email or ask you to upload a steam certificate that says you are who you are

I guess those are amateurs. You can actually infect computers with malware from just visiting the webpage, aka drive-by-downloads.

Malware can be hidden inside invisible elements on the site, such as iframes or unobfuscated JavaScript code; it can even be embedded in multimedia files, such as images, videos, or Adobe Flash animations. When the page loads, the malware infects the visitor's computer using vulnerabilities in the browser or plug-ins.

MasterKuniStarkyou type in your username and password into the fields and then the website takes them
its not about downloading some dodgy .exe file

To be fair, the "explain these photos please" scam does in fact involve downloading a dodgy .exe file, although this isn't that.

Yup, and dealt with. - http://raxxpack.wordpress.com/2014/06/03/reverse-engineer-a-key-logger/

For this case however, they bypass steam guard by grabbing your SSFN file from your computer.
Don't underestimate updating your anti-virus folks.
