#44 Mikey lft demo open in Recruitment (looking for team)
CatgrooveKewntunesplayed a center with him yelled at me not using the boston basher. Usually I don't pay too much attention to these people, but Mikey just wouldn't stop. Found my way here and now I can finally voice my incident to people who may care.
I was here for that lobby, me and kewn were just playing for fun, it was just a lobby. But not for mikey, he shit talked kewn till he was on the verge of tears. It really ruined our lobby experience and frankly our day. This discouraged kewn from 6s, now he's stuck as an engie main and promised to never play 6s again.

dunno why you would want to experience a whole season with him :X

Wow he sounds like a total fucking bitch if he made your friend just not want to do anything 6s related. Like seriously I'm sorry that happened and I don't even know you or your friend. Go fuck yourself mikey.

#5 CF Stars Qualifiers in Esports
wonderlandwow why have i never heard of this game
220k prize pool?

Basically Counter-Strike for the NA scene and games like CrossFire, Sudden Attack, Combat arms?, Alliance of Valiant Arms and stuff are only really popular in the Korean/Chinese/Japanese scene. I've played all of those games and honestly they're not that great if you're going to get into competitive because there aren't nearly as many leagues in the NA scene compared to a game like CS, so CS is the main PC fps game pretty much.

Someone should correct me if I'm wrong though, I haven't played those Asian fps games consistently for years so maybe there are more leagues/tournaments for them in the NA scene.

#1 6.82 patch notes + new SF model in Other Games

http://www.dota2.com/rekindlingsoul/

They nerfed the ability for tinker to farm ancients since march doesn't effect spell immune targets anymore, and E-Blade got nerfed so tinker_down.

Also Terrorblade will be in Captains mode so it'll be cool seeing that hero in pro games.

#4 Gargleburry lft open in Recruitment (looking for team)
gargleburryTurinHe would be able to pull his weight on a low/mid team that wants to hang around but I'm not sure he should really try for scout or med cuz he's more experienced on demo. I doubt he would perform in mid+ open well though.
eh I see where your getting at but I know I've done decently on demo against mid-high open players. I can see where your coming from though turin!

Against mid-high open players or mid-high open teams? Figuratively just because I get 400 dpm in a pug against im/invite players doesn't make me a im/invite level player u know what I mean.

#60 ESL Cologne CSGO in Esports
sky_What are ya'lls picks for tomorrow?

I'm thinking

NiP > Epsilon
Epsilon > Hellraisers
LDLC.com > Na'Vi
Copenhagen Wolves > Na'Vi
Virtus.pro > Fnatic
Fnatic > iBUYPOWER
Dignitas > Cloud9
Titan > Cloud9

Also wow http://puu.sh/aSvSB/b7b874928e.png

Imo NiP has been underperforming for the past 2 weeks so I'd go for Epsilon. If shox gets on fire early in the game they might have already won.

LDLC vs Na'Vi is a hard call so I'm not sure I want to bet on either of them.

#11 ESEA Open in TF2 General Discussion
icyfrenzyWell, I'm looking to be med in low silver, but if I happen to get on an Open team, will I have to be Premium to play the matches?

You have to pay for 2 things when you play esea

The open fee which is $10 or something like that, and premium which lets you play on the esea servers and that's like $7 a month. It's better to go straight with the 3 month plan for premium because its cheaper and a season usually lasts 3 months (about 4 months if you're on a playoff team so you'd have to pay for an extra month/get free premium codes from someone).

Also worth noting cevo right now has pretty much the same skill level compared to esea and its cheaper ($15 for the entire season I believe?), if you find a team that wants to do cevo instead.

#18 "CS:GO could get its own international tournament" in CS2 General Discussion
mthsadtf2 doesn't need an international, it needs a matchmaking system and some kind of introduction to and recognition of the competitive scene within the game. i would take the latter over an international any day.

This is very important because you get people interested in a competitive scene by having some place for new players to start out. The only reason I play csgo is because matchmaking is a thing, otherwise I would have been way to shitty to start playing some pug things like esea or w/e.

If you can somehow convince valve to make a matchmaking system in-game so pubbers want to play a comp game, you'd get so many players interested in the scene. That way they can just play whenever, instead of trying to basically organize a team for ugc/etf2l, and go from there when they might not enjoy comp in the first place and they'll just go back to pubs.

The only reason I started playing comp tf2 is because I found out about tf2lobby. It was a place for new players to start playing comp tf2. Now imagine something like that embedded straight into the game like matchmaking is for csgo. You'd get so many pubbers that would be interested in comp and they might like it and keep playing it leading to more players.

Like what mthsad said, you don't need an international, you need a place for new players to instantly have a place to start playing comp.
