1. Wishes to appear as a new player in order to receive compliments for his experienced DM.
2. Does not want to be ridiculed for their poor DM in relation to the number of hours they've put into this game.
3. Has a spare account, and is using it to farm hours to appear more legitimate for hacking purposes.
4. Something wrong with tftv, and had to make the forum post using an alt account.
Just a few of the reasons, but it's probably just the first 2.

For the most part cheaters are only in Ranked, and from my experience I get a rage hacker in every 4th or th ranked match. Not someone you think may be walling but actually someone who wipes your team in like 3 seconds as Arty.
Locking down performance CVars while leaving the game un-optimized also sucks.
The lack of private lobbies is another problem.
Then there's the fact that there isn't really any noticeable change in the game since CB1. I think all these things combined are why oen left DirtyCups, which is currently the biggest competitive league for the game.
Yes the game is still fun and yes it's still worth playing.
