DeathyTwilitlordYe TS isn't new by any means, they had an NA Invite CS team a few months ago, and they sponsor Axe and Westballz in melee

It just really bothers me that orgs are trying to sponsor teams already when the beta hasn't even happened, let alone the full game. Like I understand tf2 is supposed to be similar to OW, but shouldn't you want a team that's proven good at OW?
From what I understand, the risk that the org aforementioned (Tempo Storm) is taking is not very big, with potential to give them a lot more than what they've risked, so even if the team/the game doesn't turn out to be successful, they wouldn't lose that much.

Locked into a 2 year no salary contract isn't really getting a lot.

Imagine if a CS team had locked into that 2 years ago when the game was still small they would be kicking themselves.

If Overwatch is as big as people are thinking it could be then that contract was pretty awful. If you look at CS:GO most teams have salaries now so signing on for 2 years without one could fuck them over in the long run

wow that's not how the 1st amendment works at all

1st amendment protects you from being thrown in jail for what you say. it doesn't mean you can be a retard without consequences

i,e if i go into a bar and start talking about how all black people are evil they have every right to kick me out

yes a year long chat ban is ridiculous but it's not because of the first amendment
