I think at some point I stopped caring as much and just wanted to end it because I was already sort of committed.

TwilitlordChrisG's been sponsored by TS for at least a year, idk what you're talking about

Cool to see Poongko get that big boy sponsor tho. Secret just picked up SilentWolf in melee, one of the highest-ranked sponsorless players left, last week as well so they're making big steps into fighting games it looks like

I have also heard rumors of Secret picking up a Japanese player as well... Only rumors but it's a possibility.

Reminder that Redbull Kumite is happening fairly soon at April 23-24 in Paris, France. Redbull Kumite is Redbull sponsored tournament that invites notable players to play in a tournament.

So far the players attending are as follows:
1. GamerBee
2. Justin Wong
3. Momochi
4. Poongko
5. Xian
6. Alioune
7. Kazunoko
8. Keoma
9. Infiltration
10. Snake Eyez
11. Tokido
12. Bonchan
13. Luffy
14. Daigo

The final 2 players are yet to be announced. Edit: The final 2 players are through qualifiers FYI
Considering Keoma's performance at Jam Festival let's hope he can shape up before Kumite. Same goes to almost half the current players invited.

In other news, Poongko has been picked up by Team Secret! Always nice to see players get picked up. Recently NYChrisG got picked up by Tempo Storm so SFV is reeling in the sponsors it looks like. this happened last year i cant read

The results are in for Jam Festival.

Sadly it looks like South America, or perhaps just Brazil, will take some time before they can get someone in top 8 at Capcom Cup this year. Otherwise, as expected by perhaps many, Justin Wong takes 1st and K-Brad follows at 2nd place. I'm assuming the KOF in RobKOF means King of Fighters and if so it's cool that people from other games are coming in hot. Keoma with a not so stellar performance at 5th place raises some eyebrows especially considering his place at Capcom Cup 2015. Karin is not really an Abel-esque character but I hope he improves over the years.

1st - EG|Justin Wong
2nd - EG|K-Brad
3rd - RCBR|RobKOF
4th - SOA|Brolyinho
5th - SOA|DeathGun
5th - Innova|Keoma
7th - Arjarath
7th - CDA|DidimoKOF
9th - Alexis
9th - Rafalibe
9th - TLTR|Trema
9th - AAG|Pr3da
13th - Z4|WadnerDF
13th - SFT|Dark817
13th - NGT|XinanR
13th - Zeon

The next event is West Coast Warzone in Los Angeles, USA. The event will last from April 15 to April 17. Expect many usual West Coast players to attend as well as possibly some Mid-West and East Coast players as well.

JAM Festival in Brazil started some time today. SFV pools happening right now as of this post.
But here it is!

EDIT: Sorry the current match will be the last one for the night.

This is a good chance for South American players to make a name for themselves in the new game. However western rivals hailing from North America are here to play with EG powerhouses Justin Wong and KBrad in attendance. Keoma, who achieved top 8 at Capcom Cup 2015, is also likely to be in attendance. We have already seen Jwong and KBrad prove themselves that they are threats in this game. Will Keoma do the same?

Stream:
https://www.twitch.tv/jamgamecup2

Bracket:
Still in pools but I still don't know if there will be a bracket for tomorrow. There probably will be though.

Hypespotting V happened while I was busy so I missed it... But here are the results!

Here we get to see a good look at how Europe is shaping up with this game.

1. PXP|Lord Problem X(M. Bison)
2. RB|Luffy (R. Mika)
3. Rize|Brian (Chun-Li)
4. YP|Valmaster (Necalli)
5. Real Menace (Chun-Li)
5. UM|Hurricane (Cammy)
7. Perilous|Afii (Laura)
7. Perilous|Packz (Karin)

9. MPO.LOM|LuckboxQ (Dhalsim)
9. Nutrient
9. LLL.RSD|MBR (Ryu)
9. Rize|Cobelcog (Cammy)
13. BGS|Isam (Nash)
13. IND|ALaughingGoblin (F.A.N.G)
13. CCL (Chun-Li)
13. VF_Watson (Cammy)

Looks like Problem X is continuing his win streak over Luffy since Capcom Cup 2015 by taking 1st place. Luffy takes 2nd, albeit probably with just his fundamentals carrying his way to 2nd. I still don't think R. Mika is the right character for him but we will see. Other familiar names such as Valmaster, who had a respectable showing at CCC, and Packz, a notable UK player, round out the top 8.

Jam Festival in Brazil is happening in 3 days. Time to see who will break out into the new game. I personally think Keoma, top 8 in CCC last year, will do really well in this game unlike some of the other players struggling to transition.

Oh my goodness Infiltration stop please.

Well that's it, Infiltration won NCR as well.
That means the guaranteed spot for winning NCR is now gone and that spot is now up for grabs in the point leader boards. Points are of course gained by placing high at ranking and premier events.

The next Premier event is StunFest which is in Rennes, France in Late May.

There are, however, some decent ranking tournaments coming up and these are:
West Coast Warzone. It's still in west coast so it's possible some international players might stick around and play in it.
Texas Showdown. A favorite of some American players.
Northwest Majors. Again in the West coast + close to Canada(Vancouver)
Thaigger Uppercut. Southeast Asian players come here often (Xian, Gackt, etc.).

I'll put up a post of each of these when they come up. Cheers until then. :)

Tokido vs Infiltration grand finals again after the massive comeback by Tokido.

Hmm... Tokido gets into grand finals due to a comeback and meets Infiltration in the grand finals... Deja vu anyone?

Notable events:
LOL MARN JUST TAKES IT OVER RICKI ORTIZ LMAO
AGHHHH MARN TOOK OUT NUCKLEDU TOO WTF
Jwong knocks Haitani out of the tournament. Note that Haitani was 3rd at Final Round and Jwong was just barely outside of top 8. 3-2 for Justin but imo Jwong had the entire match on lock and Haitani's incredible mixups brought him some nice comebacks.

NCR 2016 Top 8 should be starting soon on www.twitch.tv/capcomfighters

Reminder that whoever wins this gets a guaranteed spot at Capcom Cup 2016, the most stacked tournament for the year for Street Fighter aside from Evo.

If Infiltration wins this one again then the 2nd place will get a spot iirc. Not too sure on that but it should be the case.
Alright so if Infiltration wins again then 2nd place does NOT get a spot at Capcom Cup. The spot then just opens up for rankings.

Top 8 are in order: Tokido, Julio, Nuckledu, Infiltration, Marn, Ricki Ortiz, Haitani, and Justin Wong.

Top 8 for NCR have been decided.

In winner's side it's Tokido vs Julio and Nuckledu vs Infiltration.
On loser's side we have Marn vs Ricki Ortiz and Haitani vs Justin Wong.

Marn went nuts today knocking out Filipinoman, Kazunoko, 801 Strider, K Brad, and Mago to get into top 8.
Tokido, Infiltration, and Haitani were top 3 at Final round and are aiming for the top again but we got the classic EG duo of Jwong and Ricki Ortiz in top 8 as well. Nuckledu, a player famous for defeating international players (he was also the first to beat Infiltration during his reign of "The Year of Infiltration" in 2012) and Julio, a strong player in his own right being fairly strong in Third Strike, and Marn, the wild card of the whole event, round out the rest of the top 8.

Just a reminder that tomorrow's SFV top 8 will be streamed on twitch.tv/teamsp00ky
It starts at 7:00 PM PST.
