#21 STOCK UP KIDS in Hardware

Can I work out a deal with anyone who picked one up where they ship me a g400 and I pay for it with items?

Marxist...sniper charge time should be LONGER ...

the sniper charge time is fine I was talking about the .2 second delay before you can fire after scoping in

Edyclutchworkmaybe work with armor and reduce health buff
There are armor pickups in quake because there are no medics, so no buffs without them
there are buffs in tf2 because there are medics

that shouldn't be the other way around

this is true if there was armor the medic wouldn't be as important and I like the unique mechanics of his healing the way they are

IcyWindGames that are designed with a competitive scene in mind are usually bad.

I disagree with this, games like quake and starcraft are fantastic games

IcyWindPlus, its way more fun to work around and with what the developers give us.

I agree with this though I do love tf2 and am content with the way it is, I just wonder what it would be if valve catered less to hats and pubs and more to optimize and balance the game.

#1 If tf2 was going to be comp centric in TF2 General Discussion

How would the game be different if it was going to be designed around the idea of it becoming an eSport? Assuming the basics of 6v6 can be preserved (5cp, ubers, health buffs, ect.) what would you personally change about the game as a whole?

EDIT: I would probably shorten the delay of the sniper rifle, make the fov limit 130 like every other game, toy with strafe jumping to make it work (something like you can only go 150% of your base speed), maybe work with armor and reduce health buff

I'd like to hear other people's opinions on the matter

#138 Dear TF2 Community in TF2 General Discussion
Arxthe301stspartanArxthe301stspartanArxthe301stspartanArx. If you just wanted to cooperate like you said how about you just talked to tf.tv yourself after they submitted first? Or how about you talk to them right now instead of making this abysmal thread that accomplishes nothing whatsoever.
Show Content
Everyone, go.

It's the whole point of my frustrations. With a lose reference, if someone invades your country and you fend them off, do you then invite them in to run it with you?

Even if I think it would be better to let them in, the hostile approach makes it difficult to want to...

It would have been better to speak to us, and attempted to run it together first.

If I was in your situation, I would man the fuck up, talk to the tf.tv crew, who are all great people who love tf2, and make i49 the greatest tf2 party of all time that it deserves to be. That, and having enigma banish this reprehensible thread, is the right course of action. Now do it.

It's what I thought should have happened from the start. TF.TV should have spoken to us but before we even got the chance to go speak to them about the event, we get an email from Multiplay telling us to fight our case. I'm venting because TF.TV decided to take a different approach instead of cooperating for the good of the game... and I'm venting because you're correct... it's still the right course of action to talk it out and work something out that involves both of the organisations, but it's hard to consider talking to 'great people' that try to oust you from one of your passions... covering competitive TF2 at the Multiplay LAN events.

The smarter people out of the readers here would see that while this is a vent on how TF.TV annoyed me personally, it is also an attempt to justify opening a dialogue for the benefit of the community.

No. Stop talking. Do what I said. You repeated "This is how it should've gone but tf.tv ruined it" plenty times. At this point you are calling me unintelligent.
However you know that the only right thing is to do what I said. If you are open for any "dialogue for the benefit of the community" you need to stop this thread which is the opposite of that and actually start a dialog. It is that simple. Everything else is counterproductive rambling that helps nobody.

Yes, you're right. The correct thing that benefits the community is to do what you said to do (for the record, that's not my job at Vanilla TV). My post is highlighting why even though I know it's the best thing to do, why I'm personally finding it difficult to want to do so. Someone insults you and then you're supposed to go work with them. Venting my frustrations here makes it easier to do so.

after america swooped in and saved everyone's ass in ww2 they introduced capitalism considering competition insulting makes you a dirty commie

#71 Origins of Your Name/Alias in Off Topic

After I joined my first team (iron highlander as pyro) I was hanging out with a teammate and we we're pubbing. He was really really hammered and decided to play spy, he wouldn't stop asking me how to put his clockwork away (deadringer) and went on about how he couldn't stab people I thought it was hilarious so I changed my name to clockwork. I later found out that there was already a clockwork in the scene and I was making the transition to roamer in 6's so I changed the clock to clutch.

tl;dr just call me dclockwork
