#1 Thoughts on expanding TFTV NA casts into s15--> in TF2 General Discussion

We're in the beginning stages of expanding our NA coverage into the other divisions aside from invite. Obviously adding more casts will tax our already pretty thin staff of casters/kurt, but I think more content (and more diverse content) is a good idea. Thus we'll need to break in some new blood, both casters and possibly cameramen (Kurt is only one man).

So the idea as of right now (dependent on many factors) is to have an IM/Main game of the week. I think a best case scenario -- instead of overlapping this cast with an invite game occurring at the same time -- would be having this game a hour or so before. This would require the IM/main teams playing in the MoTW to work with us and schedule their game appropriately. I'm aware of how much of an ask that is (nightmares of two seasons ago...), but hopefully the opportunity to be casted on TFTV will be enough enticement to overcome any scheduling issues.

These casts will also allow aspiring casters a chance to cast in front of a large audience and work with a more experienced caster. I'm down to co-cast with a fresh face, and I think we have some people eager to try.

The big question is how to figure out the logistics of these casts. Would the top IM/Main teams be willing to move games for the sake of a cast? If not, should we bust out the dreaded tftv #2 twitch channel and double cast?

It's still early, with nothing set in stone. Thoughts, community?

#12 CBear you Salt-Out in Off Topic

in all honesty, I'm at about 95% winner->prize given over the hundreds of hats/pizzas/items over the last year of fully charged

after the show finishes I try to add/trade right away, if that didn't happen for whatever reason (you didnt send me the twitch msg/steam was down/whatever), I probably forgot about it

post your steam, and we can unite you with the long lost hat

#1060 THE GREAT TF.TV CHALLENGE in Off Topic
DrPloxomustardoverlorddjcya that picture's much worse than the one where we can see the crumbs and tree branches in your amish-style neckbeard
ive yet to see you post anything here
That'd ruin the illusion we all have of djc.

We just naturally assume you have a merlin-esque neckbeard.

he's a normal looking white dude

with a bit of crazy in his eyes

#11 Can TFtv host some showmatches in TF2 General Discussion

Players such as tri and Plat have been streaming scrims. I'm sure at some point there will be some scrims streamed from a spectator POV (I can do this) -- but with quality content available straight from the sources, I'm not sure if it's totally needed.

#105 quickfix in TF2 General Discussion

I think it's situational, which seems like a side-grade. Some teams will run it more (mixup) because of strong pocket play/cohesion between medic and pocket, which raises the weapons effectiveness by quite a bit. A random player wont go pick up the QF and suddenly become better because of the power of the weapon -- it's exponentially better in the hands of the skilled/those who practice with it a lot.

I think that's good. I want to see dynamic combo plays that make me scream stupid things.

might ride the roster and 'backup' but that's probably it
You should play demo, but instead of using sticks, just run targe and put up pumpkin bomb traps.

#31 Your most special/memorable TF2 moments? in TF2 General Discussion

As a player: Beating EG and complexity back when they were the best two teams.

As a caster: Our first lan that we covered for MGE. I don't remember the circumstances, but I remember CB and blood doing the marathon with me -- all three of us losing our voices and minds.

Also was the first time we streamed tf2 (used to do only mumble-casts before that) -- ricco was the camera man (also did the marathon). I remember alt-tabbing to see 500+ viewers and being absolutely shocked.
