#13 Medic LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

Ratchet is a good guy. He's always around, always ready to play, he just has a long way to go. Getting more involved with a serious group of gamers will do wonders for his progression. Absolutely nowhere close to a mid/high medic (mid/low would be an appropriate target), but he might get there in a few more seasons.

I'm currently having booze and cigars with Vanilla Ice's second cousin and an invite medic. That's all.

#129 How is this happening in World Events

I actually have a sociopolitical blog that I started about a month ago after doing some analyses on a few things related to politics/BLM/Bernie/Donald/etc./etc./etc.

The most recent post is about how people support things that don't actually benefit them at all. In particular, I commented on Donald Trump's rise and how by supporting Democrats the African American population in the US is not only hurting themselves but also contributing to starvation and suffering in Africa via the US cotton industry. Enjoy.

Nothing like an opportunity for a shameless plug.

#5 Sniper improvement in TF2 General Discussion

1) Turn on your crosshairs
2) Get your crosshair on the target before you scope

You can also play with zoom_sensitivity_ratio values (0.0 - 1.0)

#4 teleporting when being juggled by damage in Customization

Are you having any packet loss? If you're playing via WiFi, wire up.

Also, what is your build? I have a laptop that does that because the CPU is such garbage that it stutters the game while trying to make damage calculations.

#2 Computer died, was it my MoBo? in Hardware

Well, if it was the RAM, you could pull one stick at a time to find out if one of them went bad. I highly doubt your RAM is causing that issue. Sounds like MB to me.

#4 TF2 Crashing in Q/A Help

you could go look at event viewer and see if there's anything going on there. verify your game cache, reinstall, etc. etc. etc.

#11 acceptable types of pants? in Off Topic

As someone who works in heavy industry, if I showed up wearing skinny jeans they'd ask me if I packed a spare dress in my purse. There isn't a man in the world that needs to show off his legs, and you definitely don't want any dude looking at your ass thinking you're a woman until you turn around.... or do you?

#32 Someone wants to sponsor my team?? in TF2 General Discussion

So, I had this exact thing happen to me when I made my first TF2 team in 2008. We only played TWL at the time, but we did have a sponsor (Truwar eSports), it was a one-guy operation, and it all worked out fine. There's no reason at all not to go for it. In 2009 he covered league fees, too.

Truwar ESEA S3

Even boogie was sponsored by a one-man operation soooo there you have it.

BBiA_duchessblackdiamondbr0I've got one for you that's been an issue since the launch of TF2. Direct pipes at point blank range on a hill (ie, badlands yard) do less damage than direct pipes at medium range... obviously because scouts need more of an advantage. Maybe they fixed it at some point in time, but that was the one issue I sent to Robin Walker that he never responded to.
Pipes used to do less damage if you hit the head but I'm pretty sure they all do 100 damage now no matter what (excluding resistances)

I may have to test it out again at some point, but at the time you could get up to 104 at medium range but no better than 96 at point blank.
