#82 ADULTS PLAY TEAM FORTRESS 2 (Adults React: Gaming) in TF2 General Discussion

Made me cringe, but also made me remember the way I felt when I first installed this game. Very nostalgic.

#6 Daff LFT s22 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Played with him on the flank back in silver HL before our team took a shit and died. Nice dude, good at shooting rockets at gamers and making them explode. Deserves a good open team.

#20 Neo lft in Recruitment (looking for team)

I haven't really had much interaction with Neo but I can't say that any of the time I have interacted with him it's been bad. I'd say his biggest issue is overextending but he's a pretty decent player overall, just needs to work on that a bit. I'd give him a shot before passing judgement based on prior experiences. The dude wants to improve and better himself as both a person and a player and that's a good start.

#1 Apt LFT Starter Scout Season 22 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Edit: If your team is not at least high open, please don't add me.

I feel like my old thread was a bit cluttered and I didn't wan't to update it, so I'm just going to make a new one and tidy some things up. Anyways...

Hi, I'm Apt. I play scout, and have done so for around 1600 hours, and I'd love to play as a starting scout for season 22 in either high Open or low IM as circumstances have come up that have not let me main prior, but I'm dedicated and I really want to improve further.

Past Experience:

UGC 6's:
Deselect - Steel Season 18 (Starter)
Jorts Esports - Gold Season 19 (Backup)

UGC Highlander:
Trumps Grumps - Silver Season 17 (Backup)
Order of the Ezic Star - Silver Season 18 (Starter but team died halfway through)

UGC 4's:
Trumps Grumps - Silver (Starter)

ESEA

Seal Squad - Open - Season 20 (Backup)
El Classico - Intermediate - Season 21 (Backup)

List of what I consider my strengths:
Very dedicated
Passionate about improving
Practice a shitload (Either DM or pugs)
Always on time for scrims/matches
Willing to invest time in going over demos and reviewing
Good DM

List of what I consider my weaknesses
Sometimes I can be a bit hard on myself
Gamesense and Positioning (Perhaps when and who to be aggressive on as well) are alright but not really amazing (Willing to work on these with a capable bunch of gamers who can guide me in the right direction)

If you're interested on trying me out, please add me and we can discuss further.

#14 Regarding MM and new players in TF2 General Discussion

I can honestly see where both sides are coming from here, though I do have to say that I'd side with the idea of everyone signing up for ESEA Open over UGC for their first competitive experience.

I mean, it's as Kevin says. The "Open" division is accessible to everyone, so I see no issue in newer players joining in. As for being stomped and having a bad time playing, that's just how the game is when you're starting out, and it's not specific to ESEA either. UGC has plenty of sandbagging teams that just absolutely shit on everyone else in the lower divisions.

The key to team success is commitment. If a team decides that they don't want to be a team anymore after suffering loss after loss, chances are it wouldn't really matter what league they were playing in because the team would be doomed from the start to begin with. if anything, ESEA just serves as a means of weeding out those kind of teams quicker, but as a result, we'll be left with the truly committed who can help the scene grow, and possibly remnants of the other teams who don't share the same mindset as those who left. The path to success in Open may be a steep one, but it's definitely not an impossible climb for new teams so long as they have the passion to play and improve, and really, that's all you truly need.

#33 circa lft mid IM in Recruitment (looking for team)

Since we're all just gonna lay shit down on the table I might as well post how I truly feel about the entire situation. The entire ordeal seemed like a load of shit. Seeing as how there was absolutely no way in hell that I was ever going to get a full payment, I settled for the hat because trying to barter with Circa or Mukhtar is a waste of time and or energy and just thinking about either of them honestly makes me feel sick to my stomach, so I just decided to play nice and pretend like I forgave them and accept the offer because well, it's better than not getting anything at all, and I didn't want to look like a jackass, but you know what, fuck it.

Circa, I honestly don't even give a shit if you give me back a full payment. I'm not forgiving you, and I'm not going to help your rep so you can take advantage of more people in the future. What you've done to me as well as many other people is disgusting. You're absolute scum, and the pinnacle of the worst attributes of the tf2 comp community. I tried to play nice so I didn't have to interact with you or the people you have contact with anymore but I see that unless I just say how I really feel this shit is going to keep happening, and nothing is going to be done about it. Dolphinrider's right. I'm too nice for my own damn good, but I'm not nice enough to where I'll let you and your shitty circlejerk walk all over me. Fuck off.

#32 Second matchmaking stress test thoughts in TF2 General Discussion

Was pretty good aside from the obvious fps decreases. Played around 7 games. Fast queue up time, and fast rounds, though I can't ever seem to get the stats page to show up at the end for whatever reason.

I definitely am in agreement about class limits needing to be enforced though. At one point we all went fastcap scout.

Posting to confirm that Muktar tried to make things right. It's currently in the 72 hour trade hold, but I'll post back when it goes through to confirm. Screenshot for proof.

Incredibly toxic. He picked me up to play on a team with him a season or so ago and scammed me out of an Australium Scattergun, then kicked me from the team and banned me from his mumble without warning. Every time someone asks him about it he either lies about it to save face or immediately removes them. Avoid at all costs. His dm can't make up for the poison he brings to any team atmosphere.
