in america most of the matches are held on mid west servers, and occasionally east coast servers. I live on the west coast (and I usually play soldier) so I have had more games than not on over 100 ping. It is challenging to get used to initially, but its not impossible. Ping advantage plays a big part in 1v1s, especially between projectile classes, but positioning and timing can still make you a valuable team member. Good luck man.

i always speedrun pubs with friendlies, seeing how fast i can dominate all of them, and then how fast i can get myself kicked by making fun of them in chat. sometimes if you type "retry" in console when they are kicking you, the kick wont go through and you can make them even angrier. some of the most fun you can have in pubs in my opinion.

here's another video confirming it on another hud as far as the class selection goes. when the bounding box of the class element overlaps with another class and you hover in the shared area, it causes the issue (as you stated)
I wonder if the animation itself freezing up has anything to do with it; when you idle between two classes, the animation also doesn't play properly
edit: stacking them all on top of each other makes my fps a solid 20 lmao

maybe go to pick and pull and get him better speakers if the ones in the car are blown out (v common in used cars) other than that fill up the oil, brake fluid, etc. because if it is his first car he will probably neglect to change those right away. you're a fuckin homie regardless though, i wish i had a brother like you.
