JDuffprobably one of the stupidest things to post, but for some reason this gets me angry.
So my mother cooks food most days out of the week, but its always really heavy Italian food like lasagna or pasta w/ gravy and shit like that. And it tastes good but when you have it most of the week it gets kinda tiring, its not the same dish every day but a lot of its similar. The only time i don't have it is if my dad grills something (which is seldom) or she makes something like steak or shit. When i work late i usually eat there, but the problem is its all Italian cuisine, so its the same thing.
That isn't to much of the problem though. The problem that aggravates me is every time i say, oh i don't really feel like having something, she gets all offended and acts like she is being berated. Its a major guilt trip to the point of were she just says i don't like her cooking so why bother having her around type of thing. So i don't say anything anymore and i put up with it, but it gets to the point if i'm not even hungry she acts this way. I mean its really depressing hearing some of this shit, so i always just shut up, but i dont really like eating and she makes huge portions.
Again, this isn't really a problem thing, and i can deal with it, but the thread is called vent ur anger, so its time to get some meaningless aggravating shit on the table :D
i feel you. my parents would make pasta with red sauce every sunday because we had to "embrace our italian heritage." red sauce gets old really fast. i would ask if we could do anything else and my mom would always tell me "if you want to make dinner youre welcome to"
my dad has a lot of restaraunt management experience and i know damn well he can do better than pasta and red sauce
