Hello users of TFTV. I would like to have a talk about something very serious on this website we call home. Our website is being hurt by the abusive admins that watch over us.
I am speaking, of course, about the recent perma-ban of our dear friend pankeyman.
Earlier today, in the thread designed to come up with a name for one user's new born nephew, pankeyman suggested the name "elliot." If you all remember correctly, Elliott is the a well known user in our community, albeit one that has not posted within the last month. However, upon questioning his ban, he was met with the following response:

Now those of you that follow Pankey's posting will know that he previously was banned for a month for a post that supposedly idolized people such as Anders Brevik or Elliot Rodgers. However, he did his time, and his posting has been clean. Anyone on this site can check for themselves and see it. I myself posted "adolf" in the thread several hours before Pankey posted. Do I deserve to be banned? For suggesting a name for a new born infant? Why should Pankey?

Youre telling me that our admins saw the suggestion of a name for a child as something that discriminated against non whites because pankey thinks whites are better? Pankey isnt a racist. Anyone who has seen his posts can attest to this.
And bigotry? Really? You ban and censor someone for saying something you dont like, and then have the gall to say that pankey is breaking the rules for "intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself."

Are you saying that pankey is banned for his previous offenses? I would assume the administration of this site are above things such as double jeopardy.
Theres an argument to be made that such powerful political topics hold no place in a team fortress 2 forum. Or that they shouldnt be discussed outside of corresponding sub forums.
But dont try and take some moral high ground under the pretense of rules. Dont quote them to the offender and then do something as asinine as demanding money for further discussion.
There is a serious problem in this community when recommending a baby name is a bannable offense.
If you dont want pankey on this website, have the balls to say it to his face. But this farce is ridiculous.
