buudStylaxBut the fact remains that you'd get more pugs going if the draft wasn't killed so often and people would spend less time waiting.
Yes I agree completely and my previous point was pretty stupid.
IMO kills can be ok but most of the time they're big mood killers, especially if long wait or if they got chained, but what can be done to prevent them? Theres already captain bans and removing the draft timers could break the site for obvious reasons

I don't really know but if the admins can't specifically do anything then people have to take it upon themselves to make sure the draft goes through rather than pandering to people begging in the chat for it to be killed or whatever.

Probably never going to happen but I suppose if people see the top players 'respecting' the draft process and people push the issue, others are likely to do the same. I know the whole 'respect the draft' idea sounds very cringey (and sounds like some U.S political slogan), but you get the point.

buudStylaxDisregarding the above, why is it a thing that people can kill the draft so that their friends can play?

A few nights ago we had a draft going, someone killed so their friend could play and then half the people didn't bother re-adding cause it was taking so long. I know it's a circle jerk but it also slows the process and makes it harder for shitters like me to get into pugchamp. You kinda end with the same people playing every pug rather than new people.

Surely that's the whole point of the deadline timer really; to get pugs starting asap so you can have more pugs overall.
pugs were made for high level of play and most of the time people kill either to not have a shitty roll pug or to have a few better players add increasing the quality of the pug, there's new rules about killing without a reason too

I'm sure the skill level is truly astronomical, but the fact remains that you'd get more pugs going if the draft wasn't killed so often and people would spend less time waiting. You could argue that redrafting so a good player is in the draft means that the next draft is worse too so it's a net of 0.

And actually I think pugchamp was made so that people can play pugs, so it fits in with that.

Not a witchhunt against the admins, but I think it's one of the issues that stops Pugchamp getting new blood too and probably should be addressed every bit as much as, for example, offclassing rules.

Missing the point, I'm ducking out of this shit, not trying to make this about me. There's no point in trying to talk in good faith about this issue with ideologues.

IDK you just posted some retarded shit.

Ducking out seems the smart move indeed.

Adnurakunless you'd like to explain to me how centuries of my country being ruled over and exploited by its closest neighbour puts me in your evil "white people" box I'd thank you to just leave it out completely. Thanks.

Jynxiiscout clips in frag movies are 9/10 times shit and boring

I think that's mostly when the clips are just clean up, shooting people in the back or just running at people while ubered. They are only really good when the scout is actually 1v1ing people and dming people who are looking at them.

Aph's frag movie is good for that.

Ubering aggressively (so not when theyre contesting point in numbers) when you have the point on Product is mostly too risky and worthless unless they're so close that you can wipe them without trading more than a soldier or at worst scout frag.

Might not be unpopular but nearly every team I have played in likes to go and uber forward into teams near their own cliff or grass, risking wasting uber and allowing enemy players behind to trade frags for faster respawns.

GazMakOk I may have exaggerated here, the bottom line is that I do not think the Scout/Soldier matchup before the plugin was imbalanced.
Oh it was. From a flank perspective, pushing a soldier was ridiculously one-sided in favor of the scout. If you pushed a door and hit only one meatshot you pretty much guaranteed a trade, sometimes even a pick because the soldier killed himself and you survived. And these are stalemate scenarios. Open fights were usually won by the scout unless the soldier pulled 2 magic rockets out of the hat but you can not expect them to do this every time.
StylaxMake full charge bodyshots do 149.There is no need. If a medic dies to one it is his fault for walking into the sightline. Instead, snipers should not be able to cancel momentum with bodyshots. There is really no reason why a 100 damage bodyshot should completely deny a soldier.

Maybe, but there are a few spots on maps that are a bit OP with it, like Granary yard or maybe process 2nd, Reckoner 2nd and mid perhaps.

Seems a bit cheap. Not gamebreaking though or anything.

Regarding knockbock, I suppose 100 damage scattergun would deny a soldier.

OlghaStylaxremoval of 150 bodyshot
That's stupid, but about that, it would be cool to have opaque spawn doors on every maps, it's really frustrating to be seen by the sniper while you can't see him, then he just has to tap w once, and kill a medic in sight without even trying to shoot the head, which is lame to play against as medic. I'd rather tell myself that if i die to a sniper in spawn, he had to quickly adjust his aiming just after opening the door.

I mean, I think it's kinda lame that you can hide in spawn or anywhere and one shot a medic without a headshot.

edit: misunderstood what you meant

twiikuuI appreciate the comments but I'm sort of disappointed by the lack of depth in the feedback given, bar Mak and Sil, we learn nothing from "disable medic attach speed" or "it makes the game boring" (???).
I have a hard time believing the feedback on gunboats isn't mostly theory-crafting, I haven't paid an enormous amount of attention but if it is "way too powerful" like suggested, I would expect to see some clips demonstrating it.
I would like to try implementing some features before next season, granted I have the free time to do so:
- Making Soldier's base self-damage reduction always apply (as opposed to only in the air), this may not be possible as it may affect rocket jumping
- Normalize pipe sizes (hoping to ask Shounic about what he learned when making his video on the subject)
- Making engineer buildings collide with all teammates (to stomp the "medic hides in a dispenser" defense, which is incredibly stupid in my opinion)

Make full charge bodyshots do 149.
