#436 GXL LAN Fall 2014 in News
hookyhookyJust so you know (I don't know if you've played TF2 competitively or had previous knowledge), competitive TF2 is completely different from QWTF, and even TFC. We currently play in a 6v6 format with 4 main classes: 1 medic, 1 demo, 2 scouts, 1 roaming soldier, and 1 pocket soldier. Any other class is only occasionally used (often in the case of sniper) by the scouts and roamer.

If you are new to comp TF2, I'd recommend trying out newbie mixes, which usually happen on Friday nights. Then you could try IRC pugs.

Ah I see. Well I have not played that 6v6 comp competitively but been in plenty of organized matches with other types. I'll check out the newbie mixes group.

#433 GXL LAN Fall 2014 in News

Hey guys, i'm new here, found you all thanks to our search engine overlords.
I will be attending GXL in october. Already paid and registered.

I'm looking for a TF2 team to play with, and perhaps anyone else that's attending to practice/play with prior to the LAN.

RESUME:
I'm an expert at every class. But I play SOLDIER 90% of the time because it's been my jam since QWTF. Outside of soldier I've also won tournament matches mixing in HEAVY, SCOUT, ENGI
Play for fun nowadays, but would love to get back into some fun tourny action at the GXL.

Also been playing since Quake TF back in '97. I competitively played tournaments for Djedi, AM, UN, and [M]. And for those that remember the scene back then I was one of the few members of Paragon, so yeah, you're probably going to want me as soldier. =)

Hit me up on steam if you want to add me to your team, peace. usrname: Skrillion
