#16 HELP! PC Crashes from TF2 in Q/A Help
ComangliaShdSteelI've cleanly reinstalled windows multiple times. And have made sure I got new drivers too along with trying disk provided drivers too.

I've definitely ruled out hardware failure. Trust me. I've extensively tested all parts with stress tests and other tests to ensure they aren't the problem.

Have you done any overclocking? If so I assume you did a prime95 test or something similar, but for how long?

No overclocking until I solve the issue. I ran prime95 for 3 hours with small ffts and only got to 30C on CPU.

I've reinstalled TF2 just now and will be playing on all stock TF2 to see if I still crash or not.

#8 HELP! PC Crashes from TF2 in Q/A Help
drshdwpuppetIt sounds like 1 of 3 things.

RAM: you said that you rebuilt everything so maybe/prolly not. If you haven't changed out RAM, try out removing all but 1 stick and see if your TF2 is more stable. You would probably be having other problems if this was the case.

SSD: I had a similar problem when I was loading TF2 from a dying drive.

Video drivers: I've heard of this problem with certain versions of video card drivers. Try rolling back the drivers to before you were having this issue.

I've tried 4 different ram kits and all result in the same issue. I've also booted into a memtest with no errors.

I don't think its the SSD as I've played other games with no issues. But I did replace my main OS ssd.

I've had this issue for a couple months so idk what to use.

#6 HELP! PC Crashes from TF2 in Q/A Help
drshdwpuppetWhat exactly is happening during the crash? Fans go crazy? any error? black screen or freeze frame?memory use through the roof? Happen with other games or just TF2 (source games?). What parts have you replaced exactly?

Completely removed TF2 and reinstalled? Set everything to default (no gfx config, no hud/custom folder at all)

No nothing like that. The only confirmation that I see is that if I'm in the middle of playing the screen freezes and I get looping game audio, I haven't gotten any similar crashes yet in any other games besides once in paladins (played the game less than an hour). I've literally built whole new systems.

I've also reinstalled tf2 and tried with default with no luck.

unskilledhave you tried verifying your cache/freshly installing tf2 and/or steam?

Sure have. No luck.

#1 HELP! PC Crashes from TF2 in Q/A Help

Lately Ive been having my PC crash while playing TF2. It used to be once a week but is now at least 1-2 times a day.
Nothing specific causes it. It could happen while in the loading screen, or in the middle of a game.
Ive even rebuilt the PC with all new parts TWICE and still have issues.

I'm offering a free unusual to whoever figures out my issue. Feel free to add me on steam for more info.

I've tried many things but I feel its TF2 crashing then freezing my PC, for some reason. I've checked drivers, replaced parts, etc.

It's not overheating or hardware failure. I never get any BSOD or any event errors in event viewer. The game tends to freeze but I still hear mumble for a little bit, then it freezes too and I am unable to even change caps lock, so the PC does lock up and crash. I am forced to do a hard shutdown or restart.

Specs are:

gtx1080ti
OS on m.2 ssd
6900K i7
32GB of ram
Steam is installed on a second ssd.

I really dont know what else to do and any help would be truly appreciated. I'm pretty desperate to get this resolved.
