I've only had this problem with my teammates, but it's happened multiple times.

#40 What songs would you like to hear in a frag video? in TF2 General Discussion

Pyschostick - Beer @ from 1:25 (actually it's about 1:18 in the video) onward up to like 1:38 ("Nooooo...."). And it should be a demo of a juicy meatshot.

#6 SteamPipe in TF2 General Discussion

I'm sorry, I should probably make it more clear it's tf2 beta, not tf2.. Don't start hating!

#4 SteamPipe in TF2 General Discussion

So far I've read the FAQ of it being an ease of use thing as well as changing to .VPK instead of using .CGF. Keep in mind a lot of these things are for TF2 Beta right now and not yet TF2.

EDIT: gawd I'm so bad at everything. Moved quote to first post.

#1 SteamPipe in TF2 General Discussion

THIS IS IN TEAM FORTRESS BETA, NOT TEAM FORTRESS 2 (but will be eventually)

Thread starter for Valve's SteamPipe (which is in beta at the moment), an update which will do several things for servers and disk space, as well as requiring mods for TF2 Beta to be moved into a new folder. This means custom maps, HUDs, scoreboards will need moving when the update reaches TF2.

Q. What’s happening?
We have been working on upgrading TF2, DoD:S, CS:S, and HL2:MP to be delivered through SteamPipe, Steam’s new content distribution. This will change how the game is downloaded and stored on your computer. The benefits to players are:
Faster and smoother downloads
Faster game boot times and map load times
Easier distribution, installation, and management of mods
Smoother dedicated server distribution and update rollover

#19 Two Idiots Beat Half Life 2 in Off Topic

The part where Breen and Mossman were having their little cat-fight and proceeded to walk with confused noodle-legs made me lose my breathe entirely. I needed that air. :(

#90 i'm dl ask me anything in TF2 General Discussion

Life comes first.
I wasn't playing/watching competitive TF2 in '08 when I started playing, so I don't know many of the teams. Which one(s) where you on and what do you think was the most enjoyable time?

#7 TF2 Crate of Suggestions in TF2 General Discussion

These are things that would make newbie players enjoy the game more. Having binds would make the cameraman's job easier, I think. The mini map, if implemented, would also give a more meta like view of strategies for things like roll-outs. But, these are just things that would or could make the game more newbie-friendly.
Added the free-look suggestion and spectator HUD's team roster in order of classes.

#1 TF2 Crate of Suggestions in TF2 General Discussion

THIS IS PURELY A SUGGESTION BOX, NOT A HYPOTHESIS THREAD
PLEASE DO NOT FLAME OTHERS OR GO OFF-TOPIC HERE

Constructive criticism only, please.

There's been discussion of how TF2 competitive play could be so much better, and how a lot of "small" details could go into making the game the one that tops stream viewer counts more often. I would bet that if the improvements were made into a list, it would be easier for anyone to help the community if they can, regardless. There will, undoubtedly, be plenty of things that could be minor in addition with more effective improvements, but they'll probably stay lower on the priority. Some might even not be possible without decent experience. But anyways, right now, a lot of the viewership would enjoy seeing more big plays.

Let's start things off:
-Letting casters switch the camera-mans view to priority targets or to the caster's own camera angle. (And switch back to the cameraman after said big plays or worthy details have fully sequenced)

-A bind list that makes switching between one player to the next a key press away.

-A form of map view that might at the least give an idea of where everyone is. Should show each class by hat equipped.("mini-map" suggestion by SharplessSix)

-Free-look thumbnail for switching between two different camera angles (one first person, the other free-look)

-Spectator HUD roster being in order by class.

-[INSERT YOUR SUGGESTIONS HERE]

Suggestions to improving the list itself also apply.(TYVM)
I can only hope this thread doesn't get shot within a few minutes. Either way, GLHF TF.TV community!

#13 Things important to VALVE in Off Topic

Maybe there can be a suggestion list of what could be done so as to make competitive TF2 an interest of a larger portion of stream viewers. I'll start off here: I think the casters would benefit greatly if they had specific binds to specific players (e.g.: team(class#1/2)), so as to improve the viewer experience.

EDIT: Reading oafmeal's post->feeling regret about the P.S., deleted

#19 tfqueue pug site wip in TF2 General Discussion

Was very fun for the first ever tfqueue pug!
Things I liked were having no clan stacking (as opposed to lobbies), no time limits, and the mumble connection above all else. The time limit tends to just going to screw over good games that are just taking longer IMO.
The only thing I would want as a player in a full pug, other than the connect info, is having nospread enabled.

EDIT: btw this is RayGun9
