#48 New Map Weekends water-testing in TF2 General Discussion
PhiRageI had a lot of fun last night. Other people should definitely try to join in.

Maps I liked:

koth_coalplant_a6
cp_warmerfront_test_b4

Obviously coalplant was fun, as it is for most people. Warmerfront was fun but thats just because I like warmfront already. But for the changes in that map... I don't think they made much of an impact at all on the way you would play the original warmfront.

Maps I didn't like:

koth_canopy_b3a
cp_highlands_a4

Canopy was a lot of fun, but I think it was way to easy to defend middle because you can see all 3 entrances from their spawn area to middle by standing at one point of the map, and its easy for the demo to deny entry from 2 of these entrances at once.

And like hooky said, highlands seems more like a HL map

weren't you around for sunshine as well? i have a general idea of what i have to fix for the next version of the map but i'd certainly like to know what you thought of it as well.

How could I forget about the best map?! -_-
Yeah, sunshine was my favorite actually and was a lot of fun. It has a lot of potential especially if the spawn/cap times get fixed

Seems like a cool guy and a good med. Would probably do well on a mid/high open team

#15 TFTV DM/Ammomod Server Changes in TF2 General Discussion
FogRageOption number 2, except that I think it would be best to make those servers have 10 slots since sniper would be allowed. That causes more issues than it fixes in my opinion

Maybe, but i feel like if its 4v4 and 1 player on one of the teams is a sniper, and the 4 players on the other team are playing scout/soldier/demo, then it would be too unbalanced.
I honestly didnt mind there being 10 slots when dm servers used to be that way.

And oh yeah it should be headshots only for snipers

+1 to allowing sniper sniper on at least one of the servers. IMO you should also make that same server a 10 slot server so a sniper wouldn't really be taking up a slot in an 8 slot server

#16 cp_badwater - an experiment in Map Discussion
GrImpartialRageIt looks pretty fun actually. Looking forward to trying it out.
There may be a problem with balancing out the difficulty of capturing the opposing team's points though, since the map isn't symmetrical. As in, Blu team's last may be a lot easier to push in and capture than Red team's last. That could be determined pretty easily after a few pugs though
It's Attack/Defend, not 5cp. (Like Gravelpit or Dustbowl style).

That clears things up then

Is there a noticeable difference between the ASUS and the benQ used at LAN? (I'm assuming you've used both)

#1 Which of these 120hz monitors should I buy? in Hardware

I'm sure similar threads have been made, but I figured I'd go ahead and ask the community which of these monitors I should buy. If anyone would like to suggest a monitor that I don't have listed then that would be fine, too!

BenQ XL2420T - Supposedly these are the monitors that were used at the ESEA LAN? In that case, I'd imagine that this has to be a pretty good monitor.

ASUS VG248QE - This is the cheaper of the three, so I am probably most interested in this one. But I also am wondering why this one would be cheaper, even though it has a 144hz refresh rate vs. the others have 120hz.

I don't know a whole lot about monitors, and this is my first 120hz monitor purchase so I would like to get the best for the price! Thanks in advance for the help!
