Sid Meier's Pirates! It's just another one of his addicting games, but my is it addicting! Just a note however, the game IS ten years old, and does have some glitches. For me personally, I have an audio glitch that makes the game loop the audio and crashes it in some parts. Just a heads up if you decide to play it.
Mirror's Edge is also a fun single player game you can try.

blinKIt's 10x more fun from a TF2 perspective on the CP style maps. Game is definitely the goods. Snipers kinda suck imo, shotgun flank for the win.
Yeah, the game is too fast paced and frantic for any good sniping. I'd like to see a rail gun implemented though. As for shotgun, that shit is strong at close range.

The beta was great! Titanfall really stands out because of how fluid it is. Not exactly on the level of Quake, but your movement will affect how well you do. I'm lovin' the feel and mechanics of it so far. Once the game comes out, I'm looking forward to what else they're hiding. :D

Hmm, that is probably the best explanation. I'm getting ass frames on Titanfall as well, and that uses Source. Oh well, won't be able to upgrade anytime soon. But thanks for that. :)
