And the fact that you're acting like a little self-entitled cunt. People are trying to help you and you insult them and whatnot. I certainly think you're the one with deaf ears as your later comments certainly do suggest that you aren't as "smart" as you seem.

gardenyou sound pretty entitled dude

also, the way you overreact to all this does make it look like you are addicted

school is the most important thing rn

(also, not a single smart person i know walks around declaring themselves smart)

I agree that he thinks games are important but I think the entitled part comes from his parents not respecting him and his current status in school. He could be spewing shit to make himself sound smarter, but all I know is that he has told us that he does well in school. I have had some achievements like making the honor roll and whatnot and my parents sometimes don't even recognize that. Or when our marching band/concert band in school wins trophies for something my parents don't recognize that. I've been playing percussion for 8 years and my parents don't seem to recognize that. I don't think they are on the same level of respect where Ferskin acknowledges his dads' efforts to make him a better person nor does his father realize that he is being really harsh on Ferskin and not being fair.

I'd just like to point out that some Asian parents are harsh and illogical. Some people might not realize the fact that these people generally don't think reasonably. And there are stereotypes about them for that reason. For example, the "Son, why you no doctor?" or "A-?!?! Why no A+?!?! I disown you." is not unreasonably far off. My parents are first generation immigrants and they still follow the mindset of Vietnamese people (harsher punishments and ways of teaching). Ferskin is most likely in the same boat; father thinks he is addicted to the computer without talking to his son why; sister annoys him without punishment from parents; they jump right to harsh and change his computer password. He was probably angry when his sister turned the router off, the dad hears that it is over games and blames Ferskin for playing games in the first place.

Also, sorry about the bad advice, it was just what I think was the best course of action. Ignoring arguments and further bitterness is going to be better than mindless bickering. Nothing can get fixed if your parents and you keep arguing and don't talk about it.

You could try getting a third party involved and see if that helps. Maybe a family therapist or another family member.
EDIT: Well, he seems to be insulting people in the thread as well. He might just be an asshat...

#30 Family issues when playing in Off Topic

Yo, do we have the same parents or something? My family is Vietnamese and I get this shit all the time. Used to play ESEA Open and I'd have to leave a couple scrims early and missed others. Left one match early as well. Parents thought I was addicted, even though I was getting B+ to B- in school. Then my grades started dropping, my parents said from video games. It wasn't though, it was from all the stress of my parents arguing with me and shit. Fucking hell, I already have gray hair, AND I'M 16.

Anywho, I quit playing TF2, I only play it casually. Just don't fucking listen to your parents. They're lunatics and so are mine. They REALLY, like REALLY, do not understand commonsense nor do they want to. Here's a story about logic and commonsense. I was about 180 lbs last summer and I wanted to lose weight. I went and lost weight. I weigh 140 now which is a good range for the height/age I'm at. My mom thinks I'm TOO SKINNY. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? LMAO, it takes a lot for me to not just burst out about how utterly ridiculous their train of thought is. (Sorry for the reference, but) They are like an autistic train; trains have multiple paths they can take. The best one is the one that rides you to the next station, then there are MULTIPLE paths that are blocked off. Guess which one they take? Yeah...

So, for all intents and purposes, just ignore them. You know better than them. Focus on school, show them that you can do EVERYTHING and that you don't need them. Once you get where you need, spit on their shoes and walk. It is too taxing to argue with them. Hope all goes well for yah mate.

#44 Sister keeps torrenting in Off Topic

FUCK FUCK FUCK. I know exactly how you feel. I've got a similar story:

So, my brother is 14. And he fuckin' loves PewDiePie and all those gaming channels and whatnot, and he fucks up the internet ALL THE TIME. He literally watches that shit like he needs it to live or something.

Anywho, I've told him repeatedly that if you don't stop a) I will cut the internet for him (He uses a laptop) or b) I will make his life hell (because vidya). Well, he wouldn't stop so I cut that internet. He complains to my parents and they think I'm cutting off life support or something (Because internet = life).

So, I'm trying to figure out how to make him stop and I started reading up on remote desktop connections and all that shit. I keylogged his PC to find his password. I log in when he's not home and I set everything up. He's got a bookmark for youtube on his desktop so I rigged it to connect to my remote desktop client stealthily.

After a few minutes of seeing my ping spike, I tell him my mom needs help or whatever and remotely change his desktop to goatsey and remove his taskbar + icons while he's away. Fucking shit storm when I see him walk back into his room and I follow him haha. He's sitting there tense as shit and red.

So yeah, find some way to scar your sister for life. or something of that nature.
