#1 Anyone running windows 7 on mac with virtual box? in Off Topic

Ok, if i post and annoy you, im truly sorry. This is my first pc game its my favorite so far. Ive always played on playstation or xbox. Thats besides the point. Yesterday i posted about buying a pc and people where giving me good info to take in, and then someone said just run windows on mac(which im using windows as i write this). Everything is running smooth and good, but the hugest problem is that tf2 wont run:( i already installed (guest) looked in google and everyone says defrag, validate and i did that and no use.
So if you got passed this obstacle, i would appreciate to know what you did.

#15 Hello fellas, and yes i am a mac user:( in Hardware
hanbroloPistola i do not want to run windows on mac, to much of a hassle. It's ridiculously easy. Just buy yourself a copy of Windows 7 (or whatever OS you prefer) as crespi suggested and install it via bootcamp. Bootcamp comes with your Mac and is super intuitive and walks you through the whole process.

If for some reason that's still hard enough to warrant buying an entirely new computer then I would suggest building your own. Judging from my previous experiences with you I doubt you're going to be that willing to do any of this yourself though, so I'm pretty sure any good advice you receive will be useless.

Theyre a lot of videos showing how to build a pc, so that would be quite easy, and when i post threads of me needing help, i do everything to find an answer on google which sometimes fails, and i come here.

crespiYou can do almost everything you want without getting a new computer. I have a macbook pro running windows 7 via bootcamp. It runs windows like any pc does, I'm only limited by my hardware. Before you get a new pc, I would try installing windows via bootcamp.

Thats a reason why im held back from running windows only because i have to get a copy of windows. Anyway if i do run windows would i have to install everything all over? or how would that work?

Geknaiiri5s/i7s are pretty important for decent quality TF2 streams. The AMD processors are fairly cheaper but not as good for streaming from what I've heard.

Ok, excluding the streaming. What would you recommend me if i wanted to play 200+fps.

sulnYou can livestream on a mac. You can play TF2 on a mac. You can install some custom huds and hitsounds on a mac. Just putting that out there.

If you want a good gaming pc that can run TF2 and be able to stream at the same time you might have to go above $600.

Let me be more specific, I would like to play tf2 with 200+ frames use some specific crosshairs that arent usable on mac because of the font which someone converted for me and it still looked really bad. Live stream without downloading a whole bunch of stuff, and i do not want to run windows on mac, to much of a hassle. Would like to use IRC without me having to install it every time i open it, and fyi i do have a custom hit sound, I never hear it in a lobby/pug/scrim. Dont ask me why because i dont know
