CheesyMacgyveris the amby change 50% reduced spread on the first shot or 50% reduced spread all the time? cause 50% reduced spread all the time would be dank as fuck imo that would make me want to pub again but im assuming its just instead of perfect accuracy for the first shot its 50% reduced spread for the first shot?
50% reduced spread all the time and no shots are perfectly accurate, but at close to medium range it basically is perfectly accurate, only long range is it more difficult than before for the first shot

SetsulLook at CPU and GPU usage to figure out what's the limiting factor.
1. Stock turbo is 3.8. You've underclocked it. Yes, overclock it. I mean you paid for a Z77 mobo and a cooler. Waste of money if you don't use them.
2. You mean that post where someone went from single channel 1333 MHz CL11 which is legitimately the slowest RAM that is sold to dual channel 2400 MHz CL11? Yeah, you're not going to see anywhere near as much of an improvement. If your RAM is on 1.5V you can oc it anyway.
3. Look at usage first.
both CPU and GPU hit like 97+% usage

Im trying to figure out the best course of action to raise my minimum FPS in Overwatch. Trying to achieve consistent 155+ fps in all situations, currently dropping as low as 115ish.
Current build:
i5-3570k @ 3.7
HD 7950
ASRock z77 Extreme 4
8g DDR3 1600MHz CL9
The way I see it I have 3 avenues to upgrade without having to build an entire new pc, in order from cheapest to most expensive:
1. OC the cpu a bit more aggressively, currently have a mild OC of 3.7, would I get an increase in minimum fps if I tried to push it to like 4.2-4.4ish? Im on a Hyper 212 Evo and the highest Ive seen these go with that cooler is like 4.5 max.
2. Upgrade the RAM. This is the area I am most unfamiliar. I know that it has been show that upgrading RAM can increase min FPS in Overwatch a good a bit, would something like 2400MHz CL11 RAM be an improvement over what I have? I really dont know much about RAM speed and timings.
3. Upgrade the GPU. I am open to buying anything up to a 1070 if it meant achieving what Im looking for.
What would be the best course of action for me? A combination of those things I mentioned? Something I am missing entirely? Maximum budget would be a 1070 and new RAM but would like to see if its possible without coming to that.

Most of us are in this game to play for fun, I'm sure between your entire network of friends you can find good replacements. You just have to be realistic and realize that you won't have the same chemistry with new players and set lower goals than what you were perhaps looking towards with your old roster.
It actually saddens me now how I actually didn't take any action to help save our team, I'm going to try and scavenge some people to play the remainder of our upcoming matches, maybe nothing might come of it, but at least I'll know I somewhat tried, right?
no need to be sad man! Its not like we didnt get along or anything. We all enjoyed playing with each other! We had fun and even had some success.. its just that at least 3 of us were simply burnt out on comp tf2 and just needed a break. If you want to put a team together using our ESEA roster I'll gladly give you the power to do so.

FUNKeI live just directly southeast of Jacksonville. My cat and computer are at my house while me and my entire family are in Georgia/south Carolina for a wedding this weekend. My parents wouldn't bring the cat because they thought it would be fine, just gave it a shitton of food and water. My house is fucked. My computer is fucked. Even if my computer wasn't near a window (it's presumably in sight of one) the damage Matthew can potentially create could fuck my entire room up regardless. I have the money to replace my computer, but not my cat. Nobody can get her because everyone is evacuated. Gone are all my video files too. All my work and everything on my hard drives.
I'm good at staying calm but fuck if my head isn't spinning 30 ways to Sunday thinking about the worst possible scenario. This is devastating.
If my house is fucked, everything is fucked. I have a large family tree and my parents make enough money for us to live somewhere else and get by. But my cat could die, even if she doesn't she's going to be terrified beyond despair. I can't make videos for a long time. I can't play competitive anymore. All my belongings i didnt bring with me to georgia destroyed. My parents did all the lockdown stuff they could before they left, but with a hurricane this strong who knows what good that will do. Holy fuck
if your cat is inside I wouldnt worry too much about it. She'll find a nice hiding spot when she hears things starting to get rough. Cats are amazingly resilient.
