#58 ETF2L and the Fresh Meat Challenge #2 in TF2 General Discussion
AustinNI'm literally saying in chat to mute Kaper and tell the enemies that he does not speak on behalf of our team?? Are you expecting the admin in our team to visit Kaper and unplug his keyboard? I also stream our games so feel free to go witch hunt through those vod's!

Oh no, you poor soul. Just stuck playing TF2 with some abhorrent idiot posting slurs in the chat. You can literally do nothing about it but ask the other team to politely ignore him. It's literally impossible for you to, I don't know, kick him off your team or report him to the admins after witnessing multiple cases of offensive language.

AustinNThere is a reason as to why we chose this game in particular to do this, are u aware of the team name of our opponents? We have an ongoing joke with them and we have been and still are all friendly with them.

Let me get this straight - it was this game, right? http://etf2l.org/matches/75418/

So it's fine to use the gamer word because your opponents had a team name that baits the gamer word joke? Are you for real? How is this team name even allowed? And don't give me any of that crap about me overreacting, unless the players are provably from the country they're referencing (which they are seemingly not, judging by the first Steam profile I clicked) it is ridiculous that a team name like this wouldn't warrant a forced change or even an outright ban.

WARHURYEAHWhat was wrong with the production? I was busy getting my ass hole drilled.

What I've seen was the overlay staying on through the first round of Process when the game went live and no map scores in the upper right corner to keep track. I might've missed something else though.

eagletfinb4 vods are muted

Worry not, everything is being recorded locally, presumably will be spliced and uploaded to YouTube.

blueeResults are here: http://cf-event.multiplay.co.uk/events/i52/

Click TF2 and you can see regular and invite results

I am also updating comp.tf. It takes a while, but me and others are doing our best to keep up.

Just a side note, I will be updating the comp.tf site with results, brackets etc. over the course of the competition. The page might look a bit lacklustre right now, but I'm awaiting for Multiplay to show the full team/bracket info (doesn't help that I've not played TF2 for a while and I'm majorly out of the loop, but I decided to resume the LAN coverage I did with Kaneco and others a year prior for community's sake... if it's needed of course).

The Twitch chat on Multiplay is beyond everything I've ever read. I have never seen anything like it.

Damn, too bad HRG vs iM had to come up this round. I obviously understand why it was picked, but I'd have loved to watch TCM vs infused, especially seeing that both teams are 0-2 right now.

KanecoP-bodyThe icon-only templates for YouTube/Steam/Twitch are done now.many thanks...

There seems to be something wrong with the youtube template page tho, both are showing icons only

(btw, this is a pet peeve of mine, but is there any way possible the default would be with the icon only? Like instead of the variable Icon=yes at the end you change that to the text=yes, so the default is icon only) sry for being picky

Fixed and fixed. Icons are now default.

Template pages are a bit funny; I think they are cached, so when self-referencing the template in the template page, weird things can happen. Resaving the page usually fixes it. But I assure you it works just fine (tested on previews)

KanecoAlso, should I enable this or not? (I enabled it already just in case but I'm not so sure what it does and apparently it's optionalIf you want to use the integrated string function functionality, add just after that line
$wgPFEnableStringFunctions = true;

No, I don't think that's necessary. Thanks for installing the plugin, I'll get cracking on stuff after I'm done writing some articles.

Kanecogive me 5 mins

What are its features btw?

It allows conditional instructions (if/switch) that make creating templates much easier. For example, I'll be able to switch between text/no text in the templates I created without having to create a new one.

KanecoThose templates are sick btw, but any chance you could remove the text altogether and just leave the image linking to the profile? Or create new templates for Icon only without text. I think it would look more like in liquidpedia and certainly look much better when grouped in player profiles

I can do that, sure. By the way, can you get this extension installed? It would help a lot with so much template stuff. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ParserFunctions

KanecoI really wanted to have an automated template that would add the country flagicons to each country, but I have no idea how to do it.

Same for links, for example add an automatic image to steam profile with the steam icon, youtube icon for youtube account, twitch, etc... If anyone can help me out let me know

As for the first part, I don't think it would be very hard to do, but to avoid any problems, the icons need to be uploaded on-site, so that nothing weird happens. And uploading flags one by one (curse you MediaWiki!) will be a pain. Maybe you can get them in a separate folder on the server or something, without actually uploading them onto the wiki?

The second part is done.
http://comp.tf/wiki/Template:YouTube
http://comp.tf/wiki/Template:Steam (supports only unique IDs now, I doubt it'll be much of a problem. Also fetching Steam icons would probably require fiddling with the Steam API, as the avatar URLs don't seem to follow any particular template, as far as I'm aware)
