Actually i think my solution is now preventing me from opening steam overlay ingame, can anyone else confirm this ?

OK i fixed it.
Right click on your steam icon, properties, and in target just add -steamos (remove any -nochatui -nofriendsui if you had them)
Worked for me, again with metro for steam skin, idk if it works for vanilla steam

MelonTFOmbrackthere was a steam update last night, which reverted my "old chat" to the new thing again. I cant seem to bring it back to how it was. I was using the method described by screwball at the end of page 2, anyone has a solution ?try exiting steam, removing the launch options that enable old steam, launch steam, exit it again and then re add them and launch and see if its back to old steam, ive heard several people talking about this working for them
