#20 Unlocks Survey in TF2 General Discussion
GentlemanJonThat theory doesn't explain Mad Milk though. Maybe there's an element of scout unlock banning fatigue

I feel like the mad milk gets lost in the atomiser, critacola, bonk, sandman, flying guillotine, soda popper mess. Scout is not only the strongest class but also has some of the strongest unlocks and I would say milk and flying guillotine are the weakest of the OP unlocks. Plus that doesnt even account for other classes weapons.

#11 Massive Cloudflare data leak - change passwords in Off Topic
bearodactylI know nothing about this is it possible to have a password manager that works on my phone and multiple PCs?

Dashlane premium does that, you get 30 days premium when you signup after that it is $40 a year. If you dont use premium I dont know how the syncing of passwords works. However I prefer just the free one over keepass

Is this being done with comp.tf, because splitting reasources doesnt seem like a good idea. If it is being done with comp.tf, are all the articles/pages on there being ported over?

#20 Mirelin banned from ETF2L in TF2 General Discussion
lucrativewhy should It matter if he cheated in CS:GO and not TF2, if you get vac'd you're a cheater, doesn't matter what game.

Because a VAC ban in TF2 means you get banned for a year, a VAC ban in any other game doesnt.

RipTideMirelinHey. It’s not like I care about this dead game anyway.D;

Cares enough to get a ban lifted on a website he visits on an annual basis

SilverToasterwhat about the beta version? it hasn't been up for about a weekDatDrummerGuyOn an unrelated note, when will the new etf2l website be out of beta?

Given the Beta hadn't been worked on for a very long time, was never going to be finished and would not receive any updates in the future we have discontinued the beta.

#47 EUHL is actually dead (if it wasn't already). in TF2 General Discussion
Ond_kajaMoist_Penguinyou didnt put effort in to help avoid the issue
You could completely have avoided the clash with ESA rewind by making this a single elim bracket just like every other HL playoff. Every single winter season i've been complaining that the post season extends FAR too long, for fuck's sake it's been a month and a half since the last match of the main season was played! So your solution is to make the season even longer, make the playoffs clash with the rewind lan, and make this decision AFTER the main season had fucking ended so you can't even plan around it? Not sure how the fuck i'm supposed to help avoiding the issue here, if you are so insistant on making bad decisions in the last minute. It's like playoffs just came around and your reaction was "oops, didn't think of this, what do we do now?".

1. The double elimination bracket was requested by the teams so you are an outlier in regards to wanting single elimination.

2. The LAN was announced after we had announced our season, we didnt get any early info on the lan or on european teams attending. We adjusted the playoff dates for teams that told us they had issues, Strong Opinions came to us and told us they had two players in that lan and we worked with them on it. Chess brought up no issues with the schedule.

Im sorry we cant know about your issues without you telling us.

#37 EUHL is actually dead (if it wasn't already). in TF2 General Discussion
TimTum007When I had to schedule the grand finals for UGC, we could just delay the match even when it was 2 weeks after the deadline.

The next highlander season will probably start at the end of March, so enough time for this match right?

There was no issue with extending from ETF2L's perspective, we set a time period for the game, if the teams want to play outside of that period they need both teams to agree. Chess couldnt play in that period, Strong Opinions could and didnt want to play later, so chess gave a default.

#27 EUHL is actually dead (if it wasn't already). in TF2 General Discussion

Strong Opinions came to ETF2L and made their concerns about their players missing the HL playoffs due to the rewind lan. That is why the actual week of the LAN there were no games scheduled. The LAN finished on the 23rd, the lower bracket final period was the 25-27th, the teams chose to play it on the 24th but that was up to them, this was the chessclub vs SDCK game.

The grand finals were obviously later than the lower bracket finals. There was plenty of time to play both the rewind lan and highlander playoffs.

As for the dates not being published at the start of the season, we didn't want to publish as there was the possibility of this lan coming up but nothing was concrete at the time regarding EU players going, the final dates were decided and published late December, i cannot remember the exact date but as I said earlier they did not clash with LAN.

However from talking to chess it was not kaja being unavailable that meant they were unwilling to play. It was other players schedules with work/school/travel independent of rewind lan that made it not possible as far as i know.

Whether people want to schedule time to play highlander is up to them, but please do not make it look like ETF2L forced you to make a choice between highlander and the lan. You are free to do whatever you want with your time but dont blame others when you didnt put effort in to help avoid the issue. We want people to play tf2 and have fun, our job is to facilitate people having fun playing tf2.

#30 Leagues make uick-fix to whitelist in TF2 General Discussion
MalloryOur decision was made while we were in communication with admins from other leagues, which is why the whitelists are basically the same except for that one difference.

That is a very stupid decision, there are two options that make sense. Follow the global whitelist or make your own whitelist that is significantly different in an attempt to try get players who REALLY dislike the global whitelist, this would mean going basically to vanilla items. I mean UGC doesnt have a great history of decision making but this one i dont understand at all, you go against the point of a unified whitelist at the gain of a pomson ban?
