#114 GUIDE: Weapon-specific Custom Crosshairs in Customization
EntropyTFMcCants
Your best bet is to upscale and downscale the crosshairs manually if you want different ratios. Choose a good cl_crosshair_scale then make some differently sized versions of whatever crosshair you want. This thread shows how to edit the vtf files and even make your own crosshairs.

MANY THANKS!!

i'll take a look at it

#112 GUIDE: Weapon-specific Custom Crosshairs in Customization
osvaldoMcCantsI'm Really, really sorry for necroing this topic.

But I'm trying to set custom sizes for the crosshairs
What variables do I have to add, or change in the weapon files?
Thanks in advance for helping
Just use the cl_crosshair_scale command in your various class configs to adjust every crosshair to its desired size

It works partially.
if I use stock shotgun the pellet pattern takes some size, inside a circle
but,
If I equip the panic attack, the pattern is a rectangle, smaller in height, but wider
Basically, I want to change hitscans weapons crosshair sizes, in a way that matches the bullet pattern inside of it
edit: mispelling and concluding the idea

#11 Map loading gif crazy behavior in Customization

Update:
Verifiyng Whiskere's files, the vtf does not show No Lod checked, neither the nolod tag on vtm.but it showed that he used DTX1 instead DTX5(wich was marked by default.
Tested the following options with the 1920x1080 gif with Whisker's vtm file, DTX1 and the 3 power of 2 options
test1 test2 test3 test4
VTM NoLod v v x x
VTF No LoD check v x v x

stil no gif. This time even with smallest power of two.
So Im uploading my hud files here, if some wandering soul are able to test it.
About statsummary.res: it worked normally with my tests with low res gif and with Whisker's files, so the problem do not seems to be there.
If someone can share 2 cents about it, i'll apreciate so much,
Thanks in advance

Whiskerif I had to guess it's just a combination of the gif being tiny (it's 480x270 being upscaled to 1214x683) and not originally having No Level Of Detail checked

I took the original gif and made my own VTF and this is the quality of the same image you had at 1280x720:
https://i.imgur.com/rDkJbqS.png
better, but still not great due to the original resolution

these are the files for reference: https://www.mediafire.com/file/uxsv1cp08rrbilg/gif.7z/file

I've finally done a 1920x1080 gif can you set it up to me, please?

edit: bad writing

It's a flag, not necessarily in the options menu.

Oh... it's after the creation..... Only 8bit alpha marked...

edit: After marking, no change... accepting other suggestions and insights

WhiskerDo you have the No Level Of Detail option checked in VTFEdit when you make the VTF? this (to my understanding) prevents your TF2 graphics settings from affecting the quality of the VTF

Where do I find this option? This option will affect only "biggest power of 2"?

Edit: Adding this image of my options

eevvnice amination , what program use for make loading screen animation gif (i pronounce as gif)..
?

You can make everything here, to be honest.... But I've found it too late...
So I've downloaded the video from youtube and cut it in my cellphone, took advantage of the original fade in and out to make the loop. I didn't bother with the watermark because it was intended to be covered by the loading pou up

Soooo

I've made this gif to work as my map loading screen, and i'm encountering some problems...
When I convert it to nearest or smallest power of 2 on VTFEdit, it works, but in this crappy look.
When I convert it in biggest power of 2 or leave unconverted, the only thing I get is the black and pink checkers of nothing to show.
Can someone lend me advice on it? How to make the gif work not in crappy ways?
Thanks in advance.

Aditional info: I'm extracting the frames with GIFFrame as png; I'm using Hypnotize hud, with Hypno himself helping with the gif call(But I didn't talk with him about the gif size behavior)
