#31 Worst date (your fault or not) in Off Topic

I don't know if it counts as a date if you're already together, but me and my then-gf watched the emoji movie when it came out

sourceLemmy42I still can't get over just how absolutely fucking incompetent the TF team is. Like, they get paid six digits a year and yet they sit on their ass playing Dota while releasing broken update after broken update. If this mess, with valve needing more than 17 hours to even start taking the most basic counteractions, doesn't prove that the TF team and valve don't give the slightest shit about this game, then I don't know what does.

They're actually shockingly incompetent. If this were any other company, people would be fired for this.
I said this a while back but no one really gave a shit but here it goes, this game was in development for 9 years before being released in 2007, its been 12 years later. So 9 + 12 = 21. The TF team has been working on one single game for 21 years, I'm pretty sure they are burnt out.

Given the direction the game has been going in, I refuse to believe it's the same people. There isn't a burnout excuse in a job which is voluntary at a six figure paycheck. If they were so tired of it they could work elsewhere without pushing out broken update after broken update.

I sure as hell wouldn't mind if MyM never happened.

How can valve ban people for using the service they provided as intended, that's pathetic

Two cows are grazing on a field.

One cow says "MOOOOO!"

The other cow says pretty much the same thing.

#566 TF2 benchmarks in TF2 General Discussion

CPU: AMD Ryzen 1600X@4025mhz (allcore OC)
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000mhz @16-16-16-35
GPU: RX 570 4gb (awful bin, silicon lottery loser)
CFG: Mastecomfig Low, directx 9.0
Res: 1920x1080, borderless window

2639 frames 14.541 seconds 181.48 fps ( 5.51 ms/f) 14.951 fps variability

With GPU/Memory OC to 1370/2000 (10/14% OC)
2639 frames 14.321 seconds 184.27 fps ( 5.43 ms/f) 13.093 fps variability
=> Majorly CPU bound

I can get my 1600X to 4.1ghz at 1.42 volts, might update at a later date.

#3366 PC Build Thread in Hardware

I have an MSI Optix G24C, cost me 170. Should be similar for you. It's a pretty great monitor, smooth responsive and good looking. It also doesn't wobble and is very solid in build quality, a rarity for cheap 1080p144 monitors. The freesync window (90 to 144) is a bit weird, and there is no adjustable height (I put my graphics card box underneath it), but for the price you can't complain. Check if it's available to you.

#25 keyboard thread in Hardware

Cheapest mechanical keyboard I could find on otto.de. Has fake blue switches. Very, very comfortable to type on, though obnoxiously loud.

Also I need to clean my table & monitors
