#35 bp meaning in TF2 General Discussion
herohes getting warmerrrrrrr

I think the minus fraggers might disagree.

Now that I think of it, I may have been you that described it months ago on a stream (Which might have been Mr. Slin, so it would have been a pug.na and not a invite pug). I didn't know what you (or whoever the fuck was saying it) was talking about until half way thtough so I had to start connecting the dots and some information was left out or misinterprated.

herowhere you posted anything at all was all wrong

I am pretty sure the story mainly centered around b4nny so either b4nny is the first part of bp or the annoying guy said something non-b4nny related anytime b4nny did something.

So it only happened when b4nny did something in patricular.... so something like "b4nny pipes" or maybe... "b4nny picks", am I getting warmer or has it already been said in this thread (big play, pick)?

(As an aside, I honestly don't understand why +/- frags exist. I really don't care if my post gets a lot of +/- frags because it literally doesn't effect anything other than people's perception of the post, I care that a bunch of pussies/lazy people get to state an opinion without actually having to, you know, defend it. It allows the same bullshit bandwagon "Oh this post is up/down voted, I must be a good/bad post" like reddit. Hell, it is even more worthless than reddit's system because it doesn't effect post ranking and there isn't an overall score for people to inject into their e-penises.)

#22 bp meaning in TF2 General Discussion
MunchThere legitimately was no meaning to it. That was the entire point of bp.

They said on Fully Charged before their first ESEA lan that it does have a meaning but it won't live up to all the hype of people wanting to find out. But who knows, maybe it was all a ruse.

#13 bp meaning in TF2 General Discussion

It may mean "b4nny plays".

I remember overhearing it in some invite pug that happened to be on stream. Apparently some really annoying kid that pugged with b4nny once constantly said "the b4nny plays" anytime b4nny did something slightly above average. He constantly said it throughout the entire pug and he abbreviated it to bp. The Invite Illuminati found it hilarious how annoying this fucking guy was and started to come up with new meanings for bp.

It could be a reason why b4nny didn't want to name his new team bp in the beginning because he would literally be naming the team after himself. Also it might the reason why bp is said in that stuttering like voice because that is how the guy in the pug constantly said it over voice chat.

#80 Fully Charged: Questions for Killing/Kalkin? in TF2 General Discussion

No one better photoshop Whisker Biscuit's picture of cbear.

Do not use photoshop, mspaint or gimp (which you can find here) anything racial, sexual or anything overall zany to that picture no matter how hilarious it might be.

Mr_PerfectSo I have a bit of extra time on my hands, so much that I thought about playing Runescape again.

Oh god Perfect, I didn't know it was that bad. Don't do anything to rash, think about your future.

#18 Fully Charged: Questions for Killing/Kalkin? in TF2 General Discussion

Can this fully charged be a bit longer than others, I think the discussion may go on for awhile and an hour may not be enough.

Ruwin, I know you will probably fight hard questioning them about the quick fix but I need to ask these anyway.

1. Why did they not ban the quick fix mid season when it was massively changed?

2. Why did they not give invite teams (or invite teams in the making) at least some of the off-season to mess around with it more and then decide it in an invite poll?

3. Is there any plan to possibly give the quick fix a fair chance to really test its place in ESEA?

4. Do you think this decision, which can and has been inferred by the general TF2 community and Valve as 6s being unable to try new thing and/or being stale, will hurt competitive TF2/ESEA?

5. As a followup to #3, is there any plan to relook at banned weapons and test them to see if they can make sixes better? Some are obviously over powered or just annoying but some bans seem completely unnecessary, some might seem to be overpowered but actually might work out.

I hate including a list because I am pretty sure some people would flip their shit but whatever I will do it anyway. Some weapons could include the Guillotine, Wrap Assassin, Liberty Launcher, Batallions Backup, Reserve Shooter, Demo boots, Caber, Sandvich, Widowmaker, Heatmaker, Cozy Camper and maybe the Solemn Vow but that would be pushing it.

To those shit flipping people who might reply to this list, don't think I believe these weapons are balanced and should be included in 6s immediately or that I don't understand the reasons they are banned. What I am saying is that they might be something to think about and to test if there is any viability to them.

#178 Quick-Fix in 6s? in TF2 General Discussion
OafmealValve should have absolutely no bearing on 6v6 decision making.

I am not trying to sound like a douche, I just really don't know. What post is this in reference to?

Because I agree with you but am not sure who you are referring too.

marmadukeGRYLLSthe truth

Thank you, this is what I was trying to get the discussion going towards. We have no idea if the quick fix turns the meta into QF + Heavy vs QF + Heavy. Because we didn't test it for a good period of time before lan (still not sure why it was allowed this season but w/e), we hit a time where people just don't know how to use it properly and thousands were watching. Now if it may turn out that after a good amount of testing that the QF turns the game in a stalemate fest with heavies, ok than we ban it. But what if something is discovered that makes QF + Heavy worthless or a way to counter quick fix better with an uber, than we have a better game.

Play the off-season like the quick fix is going to be allowed next season. Test out different strategies and see what works. Have combo jump the flank and try to get a pick, pop in while there is a stalemate and try to make something happen then jump out, try things that you couldn't do with a regular medi-gun and test out things out that might lose you games (ie not lan games). Worst comes to worst and we play the game we have been playing for the years. The best outcome is that we make a better game, which in turns make a game that is more fun to play and watch.

FFGthere is none at all

go away

No, I want to create a discussion, I want to know why he thinks there is no correlation between FPS and non-FPS games. If you want for everyone to say the same thing over and over again, just read the first 6 pages again.

HellbentAlso can people stop relating an FPS game to other non-FPS games? There is no connection.

Please continue, I want to hear the reasoning on why there is absolutely no connection between FPS games and non-fps games. Please go into depth.

#164 Quick-Fix in 6s? in TF2 General Discussion

How about we give the quick fix more than a month (and most of that month not a lot of games being played) before judging it. This can be related to starcraft as that is how changes are made and balanced. They let changes to units stay for months (and sc2's meta changes a lot quicker than tf2's) even while people cry that something is op or useless. The reason is that people just don't know how to use it or deal with it yet, so they use this nerfed/buffed unit the same way they did before the change or try some new things that don't work out.

Let us give the quick fix a season before we make a judgement. People can theorize all they want but until we force people to deal with it and think of strategies to counter it, we have no clue. At the end of that season, if it turns out to be OP or ruin the game, lets ban it. If it turns out to be a good addition to the game, we made our game better.
