I figured I should let everyone know about extremely disgusting behavior. I queued for casual with some friends today and encountered a heavy bot named "FROYO yomps" and with yomps' profile picture. One of the enemy medics was pocketing him (didn't catch the name) and playing with the bot was really annoying. I was curious how accurate of a profile they had. If a bot was using yomps' identity to disgust people, I figured they must use a similar profile, right?

After right-clicking the bot's name and clicking profile, yomps' actual profile showed up. I even went to RGL to double-check, and it's his profile. Here's a video I took with my NVIDIA ShadowPlay to show what I saw. One thing I forgot to do was check the bot's Steam ID in the console. Sorry that I didn't do that, I was too distracted by the whole situation. Here are a few things I noticed:

• The bot had the name "FROYO yomps", not "yomps" like the original
  
• TF2 isn't listed as recently played on yomps' profile
  
• I couldn't find yomps or anyone that seems like an unidentified bot in my recently played with list

I know that generally speaking, it's not good to bring attention to terrible actions like this as it just gives the bot creators more attention. However, this is really disgusting and I'm curious if anyone else has seen this. Here are some messages showing I'm not the only one who saw this.

Someone would say yes to people deserving getting kicked from their team and banned from Discord servers if they have Nursey added on Steam. I would say that by those rules FROYO should be given equal treatment even though they obviously shouldn't be. Shows the flawed logic behind the argument, just like yours that "she's on your friends list too" is a good argument when on the same TFTV profile to get to my Steam profile I've called her a sexual predator multiple times and said fuck them lmao

Does someone really deserve getting kicked from their team and banned from Discord servers if they have Nursey added on Steam? Besides, what happened to atlas as a result of this thread probably made them agree with Nursey that TFTV is a toxic cesspool and that she's in the right for all we know.

I'll just play devil's advocate here: what if there's nothing more we can do than what's been done?

Quick comparison: Let's say a YouTuber is outed as being a pedophile. It's easy to shun him out of the YouTube community because he knows his community will never be the same and that uploading more videos will result in more people learning he's a pedophile from comments.

However, it's not as easy with a video game. Nursey is outed as a pedophile. They get banned from RGL, but still greatly enjoy playing Team Fortress 2 and especially 6s as a gamemode. Nursey is banned from most PUG groups, leagues, and community servers. TF2's in-game competitive mode is dead. However, new players are coming to TF2 all the time which means not everyone knows who Nursey is. Which seems more likely?

1. Nursey quits 6s
   
2. Nursey finds other avenues where they aren't banned to play 6s (ex. PUG scrims with friends)
   
3. Nursey tries to get themselves unbanned relentlessly even though their reputation is forever tarnished

If someone has a love for a video game but is excommunicated by the community, they're going to try and find a way to play the video game without rejoining the community. If anything, making posts like these will only reinforce their beliefs the community is toxic, cause harm for innocent people around them, or cause people to believe Nursey is in the right. As the OP said, the kid is 14 years old. Don't you think getting him cut from a team, banned from a server, and blocked by two people is just going to reaffirm his belief that their friend/acquaintance is right about the community?

I think the only solution here is to ban Nursey from any server we can like Adnurak suggested. Even if the OP's intent had nothing to do with the innocent person getting cut, creating threads like this just seem to cause more problems than they're worth. Nursey did terrible things and should be remembered for doing such, but there's a point where going too far just gives them the ability to weaponize what we say and do.

TL;DR: Ban them everywhere we can, don't go further than that. More trouble than it's worth.

What I was criticizing is that RGL management and project planners seem to be working on new projects all the time despite saying RGL PUGs are "coming soon", implying they are still focusing on the project. I'm also a game developer studying computer science and understand that the video team can't work on programming. However, RGL shouldn't announce a project is "coming soon", show screenshots of the said project that look near completion, and then start creating new projects for four months as though they forgot about the PUG system.

Another thing is that RGL can get volunteer developers to work on the PUG system. According to their staff vacancies, RGL doesn't need developers right now. As you said, RGL can't have video editors do programming. But it seems like the development of RGL PUGs is stagnant and RGL doesn't want any new developers. That part of the video definitely could've been worded better and I apologize.

The last section of the video calls NURBEY a sexual predator. There is irrefutable evidence that they should be banned including them admitting to messaging minors sexually in their response. What the section you're probably referring to (1:00​ RGL is biased and refuses to ban some people) is covering how RGL refused to ban people clearly breaking their rules and sigafoo outright saying they wouldn't do anything about a harassment and witch-hunting report. This is dangerous especially considering two players shown were banned for seemingly unrelated yet similar reasons further down the line.

TL;DR: Fuck NURBEY and all sexual predators. However, RGL shouldn't be ignoring reports based on the reporter, especially considering the reported players were banned for different toxicity later on.

Hey, editor and uploader of the video here. Although not extremely important, I'd like to list the sources for the video here and say some things. I tried my best to gather accurate information for the meme (ran it by around five people before uploading) and hopefully most of the information in the video is accurate. If you don't mind me asking, what's the reason behind "Casting the same match as RGL.gg" being against the rules? Looking at the article where the rule was announced, the only thing said was "[1010.2.5] - Casting the same match as RGL.gg is a new rule that will go into effect starting in our autumn seasons". No reason is provided in the rules either, with the only text being "Only casting organizations can broadcast into the STV and cover the same match as RGLgg". I feel like one of the problems people have in this thread is why such a rule exists.

Also, sorry if this was already explained by an admin somewhere and I missed it/I got any info wrong. Tried looking around but couldn't find anything.
