I'm going to give this a whirl later this weekend but from what I can gather the main fundamental complaints are:
1. Clearly designed for consoles as mechanics and such seem to be copies of current modern console shooters
2. Certain Affinity had a hand in development of the game and Certain Affinity is comprised of ex-Bungie employees, so the game is very reminiscent of Halo
So certainly an identity crisis between wanting to be Doom but having the mindset of Halo equating out to be a generic shooter.
