Thanks for the quick response! Wasn't aware there were non-i7s with hyper-threading so that helps a lot. Does that motherboard leave room for a decent amount of expansion / is the case large enough that it's easy enough to work in?

In my build I bought everything new except my old GPU as I don't play any new games right now, so just wanted the capacity to beef up when I need it.

I built a PC with many of the same/similar parts (case, RAM, CPU cooler, motherboard, 750w version of the PSU) just under a year ago but prices on many of them (including the CPUs) have gone up significantly. I would be looking at minimizing cost with using this as a ballpark for performance (but definitely can go lower, this is quite pricey). He's looking at doing a fair bit of video editing and mapping, in addition to uni-work and some newer games, but doesn't mind not pushing top graphics settings in them. If he runs out of space with the 1tb he can always just put in another HDD - he doesn't really store much movies or music it'd just be the video files. The monitor is because he doesn't have a 1920x1080 monitor right now. He can probably wait 1-3 weeks on everything but the monitor if it will help with prices. Getting it around $1350 AUD would be swell.

Aui didn't play very well imo in the finals but I still can't believe he was kicked, think ppd is being dumb. I don't get why Arteezy wouldn't just replace Fear if he's thinking of retiring soon due to injury.
