Changing it to $10 sounds like a smart idea to me. The prize is already big enough that top teams will want to play. A lower buy in may encourage more low level teams to join which is good for everyone. More competition at the bottom and more people enjoying tf2.

Scorpio used to host new map pugs on the weekends. He'd put together a zip file of 3-4 new map and we'd play a pug or two on each one every Friday and Saturday night. It was pretty fun and got mappers some feedback.
