With the 10 minute gc time-limit it was technically viable to just sit on mid, but with the 15 minutes time-limit that's no longer the case. I don't think it makes much of a difference what the win condition is, as long as there is one.

The rules can be whatever we say they are

If the game is tied at the end of regulation whoever holds mid gets the win. If neither team holds mid a golden cap round is played where whoever captures mid first wins.
