#6 [repost] See player keypresses when watching a dem in TF2 General Discussion

I've been looking for this for a while. They had it in TFC as an anticheat measure as you could see if someone was using a script for something.

Would it show things like.. the wait command? Or just the basic movements? Would be interesting to see if someone uses a quickscope, or the interp bug (before it was fixed (although it was pretty obvious in a FP demo anyway)) etc...

#17 lan coverage in TF2 General Discussion
lamefxAre there any plans to promote I49 to the larger TF2 or gaming audience at all?

Well having one of two dedicated stages at one of the largest gaming events in Europe promotes competitive TF2 quite well. Also the grand final is always the most watched performance at the Multiplay events.

Aside from that, it is up to the TF2 community to promote itself. I'm sure the usual online sources will have posts and articles written, but beyond that... by all means pitch in :P

#14 lan coverage in TF2 General Discussion

VanillaTV will have a 84 sq metre section of the TF2 hall with a stage area (with spectator seating) dedicated to providing onsite and online coverage of the i49 Team Fortress 2 Tournament.

Casters will include Myself, Beta, Byte, Skully, and a selection of guest casters from other organisations. We also have a massive selection of backstage staff who will be managing the stream production, and other content.

We should have multiple streams online with sections of our stage area dedicated to producing on-site player interviews and additional video and written content. A large number of high definition cameras (and a few HD webcams) will provide coverage of the event atmosphere and people eating pizza on our chairs.

Other organisations will be providing their own written, video and streaming content too.

I'm pretty sure in terms of coverage, you will not have seen anything close to this level of coverage in TF2 to date. We've pulled out all the stops for this one.

We might even run some fun 'late night' drunken gamer karaoke streams when the day's games have died down!

The TF2 Grand Final will take place on the Multiplay Twitch.tv stream with myself and Beta casting with help from the rest of the VTV crew to make sure it is another show this community will remember for a long time!

#35 Aubrey Plaza in Off Topic

I'm going with doable.

I know a lot of girls who when played in 'celeb makeup / lighting / clothing' would look 10x hotter than her.

But as I only scanned through pictures of her in celeb makeup... I'd still do her as long as she says please.

#50 First experience of TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

I was a TFC player, playing a bit of fortress forever at the time. TF2 had been released for about a month, and a lot of my old TFC clan mates were playing the game.

An old clanny eventually persuaded me to buy the game, and I downloaded it. My download was at about 90% and he asked me if I wanted to play in a match. While I waited for the download I researched the 'Scout' as my mate told me that is the class I'd be playing, then I sorted out my mouse settings and joined the server.

It was a PCW on cp_well, against 4Kings (went on to become Dignitas). The team that went on to win 6 out of the first 7 seasons of ETF2L. It was a brutal experience as I'd never even loaded up a public server before but still, I became hooked.

The team if I remember correctly was Mambo #5, with players such as Wlv, Joske, Fiend and co. It was a good experience :)

#13 meanwhile in Europe in TF2 General Discussion

It was great fun to commentate but don't see this as a reflection on what actual games would be like. This was literally an excuse for people to run whatever they can, and almost try and exploit anything they can in a match scenario.

Here's the second map, cp_process:

#12 Shortstop is stupid good now. in TF2 General Discussion

Haven't tested it, but if short stop scout becomes the 'new meta', then pocket FaN scout would be hilarious (assuming the FaN's push back is increased by 80% on shortstop targets).

Scout comes near -> FaN shot -> Scout enter orbit -> Medic safe.

#189 Update 7/10/13 in TF2 General Discussion
ArxFaN + atomizer + winger is a pretty fun combo.

Still, the map changes are pretty good, but the item changes aren't as significant as they look on the surface. There might be a few exploitable weapon changes but they will become very apparent very quickly and rectified.

At least Valve is trying to balance this game now. Not many developers stick with their games 6 years after their release.

Having said that, the crit-a-cola's speed boost is pretty huge though. Makes scout stupidly fast.

#65 ghos7 Donation Drive in Off Topic

Snowy has a point, so no need to go hating on him for it.

However, the TF2 community is one giant family. We can all relate to each other as we all share at least one passion. Part of what makes a community is looking out for each other, and while your money might be better spent being given to some Cancer charity or aid for a disaster, this is going to make a huge difference to a certain member of OUR community and that's a powerful drive.

This could happen to any of us, it's nice to know that people in this community have got each other's back through all the usual flames and shit we throw at each other.

#143 OTHER HOBBIES? in Off Topic

My main hobbie at the moment is swimming. I swim 3-5 days a week.

Also play ukulele, bit of guitar, beatbox and generally try to do anything music related.

I commentate TF2.

My other hobbie is below, although this particular photo has a messed up perspective that looks like I'm a giant stomping around (I was in the air).
