#13 zowie fk1 quick help in Hardware
Schweppesthen whats the point of having 4 sidebuttons?

in-game binds. it's not at all necessary but there's no down side to having them there.

e: i can't seem to bind to mouse6/7 in console so idk what they do actually, as i have no inclination to read the user guide that's in my cupboard

#21 Best large cloth mousepad? in Hardware

goliathus because of its sewn edges. the surface of the speed is v smooth and nice. it's kinda thin tho, so either have a smooth desk or stack it atop a thicker pad

zowie's stitched pads look good too

#11 looking for headphones in Hardware

save up and get yourself headphones and mic separately. or just get a cheap mic and good headphones. headsets heavily compromise sound and/or voice quality, or if they don't they're rly dare.

-frags are probably confirmation biased, or just naive. look at freq range, sens and impedance. granted, if you're just gaming neither audio nor mic quality matters all that much, so if that's the case you should probably just go for what's most comfortable and affordable.

#255 SHOW YOUR CROSSHAIR! in Off Topic

ooo that's what i'm after. most of the brackets with dot crosshairs have sharp/flat edges and different curves but that one looks great.

#253 SHOW YOUR CROSSHAIR! in Off Topic

i'm gonna learn how to make font files and make a sharpened carbon copy of it for a hud crosshair. vtf crosshairs are a pain, having to load them locally/in sv_pure 2 servers every time you play.

very relevant to thread title/great channel overall

i think the article is good. it's certainly true that repeated affirmation helps you to feel confident in where you're at - another step in the ladder so to speak - and a huge factor of pretty much any challenge is mental.
