Crusader's Crossbow isn't supposed to be able to heal Soldiers with the Escape Plan out, but it still does, and this "glitch" is still used. Might as well use it while it still exists. I also never said that the Market Gardener should or can replace the Escape Plan entirely, it just increases the viability of the MG.
And to answer your second question: Have you ever watched any competitive stream and paid any attention to stream chat?
